Spacious House Close to Beach, Water Park & Attractions

‘Number One Scarborough’ is a spacious, fully renovated Victorian house. It's the perfect place for friends and family to spend 'together time' and large enough for you all to have space too! There's a private outdoor suntrap, perfect for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. Italian restaurants, pizza places and great fish & chips are close by and there's something to suit everyone's taste. Free parking. The beach, surf school, skate park, Peasholm Park & shops are within a short walk.

This place is all about spending time with family & friends. Your host, Jacqui is always on call and is happy to share her knowledge of great places to eat, to visit, and to relax. The Yorkshire Coast has so much to offer and every day can either be an adventure or restful.....you choose :)

After a day exploring, enjoy preparing meals in the spacious fully equipped family kitchen with a breakfast bar for those who like to sit and chat with you whilst you cook. Your whole family can fit around the large dining table which seats eight and there's room for the highchair which is provided too.

Switch on ‘Kids’ Netflix or a great movie in the spacious lounge. Alternatively you can play a game from the dining unit where you can choose from Jenga or Dominoes and there are playing cards too!

Enjoy a good nights sleep in the spacious, light and airy bedrooms. Relax in comfortable beds and wakeup and refresh with a great power shower. The large twin room which can also be made into a king size bed if required. The small twin room at the rear of the property has single beds. All bedrooms (except the small twin room) have large screen Smart TV’s with complimentary Netflix. Safety gates can be provided for each twin room and there’s plenty of room to put your travel cot in either king room.

Unwind in the suntrap of a garden with your morning coffee and a magazine or enjoy an evening glass of wine with some nibbles. Colorful buckets & spades are in the garden just waiting for a trip to the beach. There’s also a washing line for drying your sandy beach towels in the warm sunshine.

The accommodation was absolutely amazing, it was very clean and the little touches the owners left was so lovely - the tea/coffee, toiletries etc. Communication up to the stay was excellent, they kept in touch regularly and if we had any questions, we’re very efficient advising us. Would definitely recommend.

Little gem in the North end of Scarborough

We spent 3 nights at Ashville Avenue with our kids and grandchildren. The property is ideally situated for Peasholm Park and a short stroll to the beach. The house is well equipped and recently refurbished to a high standard. The place was spotless and we had no problems with the on street parking . I would highly recommend for a family getaway.

Family reunion

We had a family gathering in this lovely house, which proved to be a great base for walking round Scarborough and relaxing in the evening. Recently renovated from top to bottom, the house had everything we needed - a great kitchen, comfy sofas and cosy bedrooms.

My name is Jacqui and my husband and I renovated this property in 2020, it was a labour of love! It is our second rental property, the first is a country cottage couples retreat next to our home.

Why they chose this property

NUMBER 1
We currently accommodate arrival on any day with the exception of peak season (mid July – early September) when there is a 7 night booking requirement from Saturday to Saturday.

LOUNGE/DINER
The large lounge/diner has a long oak table that is perfect for family dining and perfect for a Fish & Chip supper (we’ll point you in the right direction for the best takeaways). The lounge has leather sofas & chair and a large screen Smart TV (Freeview and Netflix included) so that your family will be kept comfortably entertained after a day enjoying the beach and local attractions.

BEDROOMS
There are two Master bedrooms both of which have an en-suite shower room and Smart TV’s with Freeview and Netflix.
One of the twin rooms has a large screen Smart TV with Freeview and Netflix and can also be set up as a king size bedroom.
The second twin room is ideally suited to children. Drawers for clothes are situated under the beds and there isn’t a wardrobe however, a freestanding clothes rail will be provided if all guests are adults.
Both twin rooms are next to the house bathroom and can be fitted with safety gates if required.
A travel cot is available upon request.

KITCHEN
The fully equipped kitchen has a small breakfast bar, stunning double electric range cooker, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge freezer and microwave etc. For those who prefer not to cook, the property is only a short walk away from a variety of restaurants, cafes and takeaways.

OUTSIDE
There is a small but lovely rear garden with seating, ideal for morning coffee alfresco. During summer the garden is a sun trap for most of the day. At dusk, subtle lighting and twinkling fairy lights illuminate the little garden and make a lovely setting for a glass of wine in the warm night air.
