Hi
My husband, Rob, a retired local fisherman, and I have had the pleasure of welcoming guests to Baytree Cottage for several years. We take great joy in sharing our charming village with visitors and feel incredibly fortunate to call this beautiful place our home
My husband, Rob, a retired local fisherman, and I have had the pleasure of welcoming guests to Baytree Cottage for several years. We take great joy in sharing our charming village with visitors and feel incredibly fortunate to call this beautiful place our home
Why they chose this property
East Runton is a quaint well served traditional Norfolk fishing village with many amenities. The village has two large commons. Bay Tree Cottage is closest to Top Common, which is complete with a play area with swings and slides for children. It is a 10-minute stroll from the cottage to the wide sandy beaches of East Runton. There are two pubs in the village, a butcher a a village store (open long hours) and a Fish and Chip shop. East Runton is just a few miles from the traditional seaside towns of Sheringham and Cromer, with its Victorian pier. Baytree Cottage is close to the Norfolk Coastal path, which leads over Ingleburgh Hill (one of the few hills in Norfolk), and a stone's throw from the salt marshes at Cley and Salthouse, a bird watcher's paradise!. Blakeney, with its ever-popular seal trips, is also only a short drive away. children and adults alike love seeing the seals basking in the sun! There is lots to do within easy reach, and we have endeavoured to provide a comprehensive pack of tourist information at the cottage. In the meantime here are are just a few of the nearby attractions to wet your appetite: North Norfolk Steam Railway - starts at Sheringham Amazonia Zoo - Cromer BeWILDerwood an award winning wild and imaginative adventure park with magical treehouses and a hint of intriguing characters, Gressenhall- a former workhouse visitors can see recreations of craftsmans workshops, a bakery, shop and cottage And many National Trust properties...
What makes this property unique
The Baytree Cottage features beautifully landscaped, fully enclosed private gardens, a fully furnished summer house and outdoor furniture. Perfect for relaxation and outdoor enjoyment. Additionally, it includes a fully functional garage and an off-road driveway that offers secure parking for up to three vehicles.
