A 1 mile drive is all that separates you from The Girl & The Fig, The El Dorado Kitchen, the Swiss Hotel, The Sunflower Café, The Sonoma Grille, a plethora of World-class tasting rooms - just to name a few spots. Our home, so close to all the attractions, is uniquely charming, tastefully decorated, and offers you a genuine Sonoma living experience. Our recently remodeled home welcomes you to live like a local, but play like a tourist. Each room boasts a unique, one-of-a-kind rolling barn closet door - pick your favorite. We recently installed a cute, hexagonal hot tub, nestled amongst the flowers. Turn on the jets, gaze up at the stars and think how lucky you are that your friend picked “Sonoma” for their wedding... Adjacent to the hot tub is a comfy seating area under a beautiful redwood arbor, complete with a hanging bed. Lie down, relax and fade away to sleep. For dinner, wander into the raised vegetable beds complete with tomatoes, squash, cucumber, pumpkin and even strawberries (if the last guests left any) and pick what you need. They’re all for guests. Feel free to grill them on the BBQ, just off the garage. We have 9 Full Grown Laying Hens out back your kids will surely love to feed and pet. Each one lays a different color egg! If you like fresh organic free-range chicken eggs some will be awaiting you upon arrival. At night, lite a fire in the fire pit and roast some s’mores while toasting your friends and enjoying champagne. Or settle down in a comfy couch and watch a new release on the projector with its on automatic movie screen in the garage. We hope you’ll have the time of your lives during your stay in Sonoma wine country. We just aim to be your HQ while you go off to explore!

Peaceful yet close

This was a great house from a great host! Close enough to get anywhere within minutes yet somehow peacefully quiet when you just want to relax. And the bikes make everything accessible without the need for a car. And don’t forget to feed the chickens!!!

Such a great location & house! Was in town for a wedding and wished we had more downtime to enjoy the yard/house even more! Everything was very clean and well organized. Front room has a series of tables with LED lights, making it easy to get ready with a group.

Perfect wine country getaway

Dan’s home is the perfect stay for a weekend in wine country. We loved the back yard space, especially the fresh fruit and the hot tub! There was plenty of room for our bigger group and everyone slept comfortably. Dan was easy to get in touch with, and ensured we had all we needed for our stay. We would absolutely stay here again!

Long Weekend in Wine Country

We stayed at Daniel's place for a long weekend with a group of friends and had a great time – we especially loved the wonderful outdoor space, where we spent most of our time at the house. The home is in a quiet neighborhood, yet still quite close to downtown and nearby attractions.

I rented this house out for my sister’s bachelorette party and it was absolutely perfect! There were plenty of beds, multiple vanities with diming lights, and a great backyard. Lovely spot in Sonoma!

We stayed here with our 2 year old and newborn grandchildren and daughter and son in law for three nights in Apr8l. The house was perfect for us and the yard was fantastic. We enjoyed feeding the chickens and collecting and eating the eggs. The orange and lemon trees were full of fruit. The hot tub was private and perfect. The hanging daybed was a bonus nap area. We loved the stocked kitchen as we cooked in quite a bit. The full size coffee pot was appreciated — so many have only the pods or tiny pots anymore. There were funnplaygrounds within walking distance and walking or biking to town was quick and easy. There is a Safeway and Whole Foods nearby. We enjoyed our stay here very much.

Bachelorette Trip

Our stay at Dans property was so fun! There were 10 grown women under this roof and plenty of space (more than the photos show). 10 girls managed to share two bathrooms, if we can do it, anyone can. Dan was so kind, checking in on us the entire weekend. We felt very safe in the area. There is a ring camera which made me feel better that things were recorded if something were to happen. It was colder/rainy weather for majority of the stay so we unfortunately couldn’t use the fire pit out back due to the rain, although that would’ve been amazing. Overall it was so beautiful, so fun. He installed new mirrors in the living room that allowed for multiple people to get ready at one time! I would recommend this stay to anyone. It was great!

Not All that was Advertised

Nice location and great house for our family. HOWEVER, we found several things missing that were highlighted in the property listing. There were no "hens to feed or pet" in the hen house, there was no "comfy couch" to watch a "new release" nor a "movie projector or its automatic movie screen" in the garage (which was in fact just a storage room for old mattresses and furniture). At the time, a ping pong table was also advertised but was not there either. Daniel's comment was "I didn't realize you came to Sonoma to play ping pong". The host did bring fresh eggs but that was hardly the experience we were looking forward to. He offered us a gift card but we felt it did not nearly cover all that was missing. Had we known these things would not be at the house, we certainly would have rented a different property. Lastly, we enjoyed having access to the bikes.

Great base to experience Sonoma, Napa and Russian River Valleys

Let me caveat by saying we stayed in the house over Christmas/New Years, so the weather was not great and that influenced our first impression of the outdoor of the house. That being said, the house was as advertised and a great home for us. Our goal was to see as much of the entire area as possible, from the coast all the way to Napa. This house was centered right in the middle. Had all the things we needed to cook meals (including fresh eggs!), the beds were comfortable, the fireplace was good for the cool evenings and the hot tub helped ease sore muscles. This is not the Ritz Carlton. This is a home in a neighborhood. We understand and welcome the trade off. If you expect RC amenities, spend the money. If you want a cozy home with three nice bedrooms and a cute backyard, this place is perfect. My only complaint, and this should help you see how much we liked the house, was that all of the bathroom mirrors are mounted comically low for our family. My wife is on the shorter side (5'4") and they were perfect for her. I'm 6'3 and the top of the mirrors hit me about mid-chest. That's it. That's all that didn't meet my expectations. I consider that a win!

Don't hesitate - BOOK!

This property exceeded expectations for our group of 10 ladies. We had a seamless check-in process and communication was easy. Daniel prepared a wonderful stay for us, including prepping the outdoor fire pit. We enjoyed the backyard and each room had comfortable beds. This location is hard to beat -- you are minutes away from the downtown square and wineries. It is in a wonderful neighborhood great for taking morning walks with your coffee. I highly recommend this property!

SO MANY AMENITIES!

This was most well-stocked vacation rental I have ever used--and I have used a lot. All of the gals in staying with me said the same thing! S'mores fixings and the fire were all set up, and even fresh eggs from the chickens in the backyard! We all wished we had booked less wineries so we could have spent more time on the property. It is just over a mile from the Sonoma Square, so really an ideal location. Dan was an awesome host and helped us with some technology issues immediately--so responsive. Highly recommend and I would 100% stay here again!

Charming & comfortable home in Sonoma

Daniel's home was a perfect place to unwind and enjoy a few days with extended family (6 adults) in wine country after our son's wedding in the San Francisco area. The home was very comfortable, very nicely decorated and well-equipped for our 3-day stay. We really enjoyed the backyard space for cookouts, games and relaxing by the firepit. We also appreciated the extra touches like fresh eggs, a hostess basket of goodies and wine, and detailed information about the house. Sonoma Family Birthday Celebration

The backyard was definitely our favorite part of Dan’s home. We took advantage of the hanging bed, fire pit, corn hole, grill, hot tub, fresh eggs…. We spent all of our evenings outside. So relaxing and beautiful. The areas of the house that were remodeled are nice (kitchen, eating area). We had a minor ant issue in the kitchen and Dan was quick to remedy the problem. If you prefer to sleep on a medium/firm mattress (as we do) you might not like the beds. They were very soft. Just a personal preference. Dan is probably the best host we have encountered. Easy to communicate with, quick to respond and he goes above and beyond (as we were wine tasting in Napa we realized we left a birthday cake on the counter that needed to be refrigerated and all it took was a text to Dan and he was over at the house taking care of it). Thank you Dan!

Great Family Stay

We chose this property because we wanted a place where we could relax comfortably with our adult children and their spouses. The outdoor seating area, fire pit and hot tub were perfect. The whole house and the yard were designed to encourage togetherness and conversation - and the beautiful landscaping certainly didn’t hurt.

Dan is a local and was born in Sonoma County. After graduating from Cal (GO BEARS!) he worked in corporate finance in the City. He knew he'd leave the city eventually to settle down and he always knew where he wanted to plant roots - in the Wine Country!
Dan & his family live in Sonoma and recently purchased this home to offer others a little slice of what we consider the "perfect life"

Why they chose this property

The location is ideal. We are located 1 mile from the square. The bike path is only a few hundred meters from the house. It will take you, walking or riding, to the Whole Foods which is one block from the square - easy ride, lots of ducks!
The place was just recently remodeled. All you'll hear when you wake up is the sound of silence....

What makes this property unique
