Dolphin Cottage is a traditional fisherman's cottage perched above the harbour on one of Brixham's most photogenic streets. Thanks to its elevated setting in Brixham's natural harbour bowl, the cottage offers fantastic views across the harbour, marina and out to the Breakwater. This charming cottage is just a stone's throw from everything Brixham has to offer, with fantastic pubs, restaurants, cafés and a variety of independent retailers all within walking distance. Guests also have access to a superb new beach hut at Shoalstone, making it a wonderful choice for a classic coastal break.

Located among a row of vibrant colourful cottages, Dolphin Cottage's cheerful exterior sets the tone for within. As you step straight inside to the cosy living area, the fireplace provides a focal point to the room and it is easy to imagine occupants of years ago looking down to their boats in the harbour.

The stylish newly fitted kitchen offers the perfect flexibility for self-catering. Brixham is a food lovers' paradise, and you will be spoilt for choice for places to eat out. For culinary enthusiasts, why not pick up some fresh fish straight off one of the local day boats to prepare back in the cottage and then enjoy an after dinner drink on the front courtyard while the sun sets lighting up the colourful cottages on the other side of the harbour.

The bedrooms are located on the second floor of the cottage with the main bedroom with king size bed enjoying magnificent views over the harbour and across the marina to the Breakwater.

The second bedroom is fitted with twin beds which can be zip linked together to make a King bed.

Guest Access
There is no allocated parking for Dolphin Cottage however on street parking can be found on nearby residential roads or alternatively there is a long stay car park for which you can purchase a 4 or 8 day permit which covers you for 38 Torbay Council Car Parks in the area, perfect for exploring the wider area.

Once parked up, Brixham is best explored on foot, and there are also pedestrian ferries that run to Paignton, Torquay and Dartmouth.

NOTES
Due to its setting higher up the natural harbour bowl area of Brixham, Dolphin Cottage may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. For any accessibility questions please feel free to contact us.

- Free use of a beach hut at Shoalstone for stays of 5 nights or more. For stays of 4 nights or less a £30 charge is applied. Available May 1st - September 30th

- Infants welcome however please note guests should bring their own high chair and travel cot if required. Please note a travel cot will only fit in the main bedroom.

- Dolphin Cottage is located down a narrow road. Access is for unloading/loading only and then you are required to park in the car parks or nearby on street parking. Further information on parking will be provided prior to arrival.
- This property includes a small welcome/starter pack to help you on your first day of arrival. This consists of 2 toilet rolls, washing up liquid, 2 dishwasher tablets, a washing up cloth, sponge & tea towel and tea, coffee & milk sachets. Cupboard staples and any other extras are not as standard therefore we recommend ensuring you have your own supplies of anything else required.

Neighbourhood description
Dolphin Cottage is situated on one of the most characterful streets in Brixham called Prospect Road. Just a matter of minutes walk and you can be in the town with its many cafés, restaurants and shops or enjoying a pleasant walk around the harbour to the marina and breakwater.

Brixham has long been famed for its links to the sea, and now has an up and coming culinary scene to add to its armoury, with an increasing number of independent cafés and delightful restaurants offering ingredients landed just a stones’ throw from their doorstep. For walkers, The South West Coast Path will take you as far as your legs will carry you, and entertaining the little ones couldn’t be easier with Paignton Zoo, The Dartmouth Steam Railway and Splashdown @ Quay West all within a short drive.

Getting around
Dolphin Cottage is located in the heart of Brixham, with everything within a short walk away for your stay. Why not take one of the passenger ferries across to Torbay or around Berry Head and over to Dartmouth? The bus station located in central Brixham has a regular bus service which runs via Paignton to Torquay. You can pick up the South West Coast path in either direction and enjoy miles of stunning coastal walking routes.
