The Smithy glamping pods are quirky, one-bedroom log cabins, sleeping up to four guests, boasting off road parking and private seating areas. Outside is fully enclosed, giving you your own secure area for your dog.. All on the Ground Floor:

Open plan living space.

Living area: Smart TV, Sofa Bed (Double)

Dining area.

Kitchen area: Electric Oven, Electric Hob, Microwave, Fridge

Bedroom: Kingsize (5ft) Bed, Smart TV Ensuite: Walk-In Shower, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Welcome pack and doggy extras. Travel cot. Enclosed Front garden with patio, sitting out area, picnic bench and barbecue. Private parking for 1 car. 2 pets welcome, to be attended in the property and garden at all times. No smoking.. The Smithy glamping pods are fully equipped newly built lodges in the semi-rural area of Dainton, outside of Newton abbot. Situated on the owners smallholding and with beautiful countryside views. The owners are also happy to give guided tours where they are able.

As you enter the lodge through the French doors, you find yourself in the open kitchen/living/dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven, electric hob and fridge/freezer. The living/dining area benefits from dining table and chairs, a sofa bed as additional sleeping and a TV. The bedroom contains a kingsize bed with wall mounted TV and en-suite shower room. The lodge has a lovely small decked and patio area to the front where guests can sit out and relax on the two zero-gravity garden chairs, looking out across the fields with various animals

There are many local restaurants with great food located relatively nearby, including pubs with their famous 2 in 1 pies. Whether you are wanting to visit the area for the countryside walks or the stunning coastal walks and beaches nearby, these peaceful retreats will be a great base to start to explore the English Riviera and South Hams with all it has to offer. Beach 4 miles.

Took our two dogs to stay in this lovely glampng pod.

Took our two dogs to stay in this lovely glampng pod. It’s warm, comfortable and clean. The location is great for exploring the local area. The owners are friendly and welcoming and they seem to have thought of pretty much everything you could possibly need. I would definitely recommend staying here. Oh, and the eggs from the chickens and geese were delicious.

Seeing the animals was a delight!Excellent base to go off and adventure. Nice enclosed area for pups to have a run about.Only sad thing was leaving! We will definitely be returning!

Every comfort and essential thought of and taken care of, including the necessities for the dog. Just our food and clothing to take. The pod was spacious very clean and warm. The hosts welcoming friendly and helpful. Honestly cannot think of one negative about the holiday from the moment we booked to leaving, it was all excellent.
