The West Wing at Gypsy Hall is a cosy and comfortable cottage with plenty of characterful features which is the ideal spot for a relaxing break. The cottage has a homely feel to it and its large gardens and quiet location make it popular with couples and young families.
With parts dating back to the 1700s, guests will enjoy the exposed beams, angled walls and plenty of charm! The open plan, kitchen, living and dining area make for a social space whilst cooking and relaxing of an evening.
The bathroom with the shower-over-bath as well as a separate WC are located on the ground floor, while both bedrooms are to be found upstairs. The low height ceilings on the landing and sloping eves of the bedrooms help create a quaint feeling to the cottage. The main bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom is primarily a single but a pull-out bed can be arranged to sleep a fourth if required.
The West Wing at Gypsy Hall is accessed via a short, rough track and lies adjacent to the owner’s home. There is ample parking at the front of the cottage for two cars.
The large garden is enclosed and has a handy summer house which can be enjoyed in the summer months. It is surrounded by fields and paddocks which are home to the owner’s beautiful horses. The local pub which also serves food is only half a mile down the road and within very easy walking distance.
The property is perfectly located for exploring the surrounding towns and villages which have plenty to offer. The nearby Newmarket offers lots of places to eat, drink and shop, and also has the famous racecourse which has a number of well-attended meets over the course of the year. Here you will also find free tours and The National Horse Racing Museum.
The popular University town of Cambridge also lies within easy reach - guests can wander in and out of the colleges when the students are not in town and in the summer months enjoy punting on the river.

The West Wing at Gypsy Hall
Beautiful relaxing cottage, we'd love to come back next time we're visiting Cambridge.
We enjoyed every moment in this lovely cottage! The peace and quiet was just what we needed. The house is well equipped and cosy, and Robbie was a very friendly and helpful host. I can highly recommend this cottage! We'll be back next year.
We immensely enjoyed our second stay at this beautiful, cosy, well equipped cottage. The large garden invites you to relax, read and watch the numerous birds. We recommend a walk on the Devil's Ditch between Dullingham and Newmarket.

Cottage has everything
The cottage was filled with charm. It was exactly as described, with self catering important for our month long stay. The welcome pack of local produce and home made banana cake was a treat. Comfortable furniture and beds, and a lovely garden for evening drinks. Friendly locals at closest pubs The Bull and The Boot. Excellent service from owner Robbie as well.

Quaint old cottage
Lovely area of the country. Big garden, ideal for dogs. Very friendly owner. Interesting to stay in such an old cottage. Well equipped in some ways, less so in others.
Kitchen could be better equipped.

A fabulous spot & scrummy welcome pack :) Thank you! A walk to The Bull was rewarded with a splendid meal - fish pie was to die for! We have enjoyed The Lent Bumps in Cambridge. Punter in Cambridge & The Locker are great eateries & dog friendly. The flowers are beautiful (in the house & outside)! Fab!!

We are so pleased to see you all had a lovely stay!
Our third time in this cosy cottage. As before, everything was perfect. The cottage is comfortable with a big garden, very well equipped and located conveniently close to a train station (Dullingham) for visits to Cambridge etc. We also enjoyed a dinner in the local pub, The Bull, and long walks in the area. People here are really friendly and welcoming.
A big Thank You to Robbie for being such a great host! We enjoyed our stay a lot, and will be back.

The host, Robbie, was absolutely amazing from start to finish.
Although finding the location was a little tricky at first, he was incredibly helpful and patiently guided me through the directions, making sure I arrived without any trouble. The cottage itself is adorable, full of charm, and has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. It’s not just well-equipped but also has a cozy, homely feel that immediately makes you feel relaxed. For anyone traveling with dogs, the secure garden is a real bonus. It’s a safe and lovely space where your furry companions can enjoy themselves. Overall, it's a perfect spot for a peaceful and comfortable retreat.
This is a lovely well appointed cottage, spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds. It is clearly a period property with low ceilings in most rooms, narrow stairs and a beam in the floor of the main bedroom. All of this adds to its charm but would be unsuitable for anyone with mobility difficulties. The welcome pack was very thoughtful and Rob the owner who lives in the adjoining property was helpful but unobtrusive. We recommend The Three Blackbirds in nearby Wooditton and any trips into Cambridge are easiest via the Fulbourn exit of the A11. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend.
Très joli cottage avec un jardin agréable. Au calme et très bien situé pour visiter Cambridge et les environs. Même Londres n'est pas trop loin. Bon accueil. Nous recommandons.

Prachtige cottage met veel privacy
Perfecte ligging in een klein dorp, vlakbij Cambrigde. Wij kwamen hier speciaal voor the Duxford Airshow en museum, dit is ook zeer dichtbij.
