About this property

Welcome to our home from home for 5 in the Scottish Highlands.

Welcome to Number Nine, our spacious and comfortable holiday home near Aviemore in the Cairngorms National Park in the Scottish Highlands. Accommodating up to 5 guests, we are located on the edge of the forest, at the far end of a quiet residential cul-de-sac in the heart of the scenic village of Carrbridge. Endless walks and off-road cycling available from the front door, whilst the Cairngorm mountains, Inverness and the Moray Coast are all within easy reach. With a cosy open fire, the house offers a warm welcome and, being situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, is the perfect base for exploring.

An inviting home from home laid out on the one level. Guests have sole use of the property and private garden with off road parking. The garden is fenced and is laid out in gravel and heathers (no lawn). The rear garden is fully enclosed.

Weekly price discount of 10%
Monthly discount of 20%. Longer stays welcome, please enquire for availability.

We are not a 'party house', please bear this in mind when booking. Thank you :-)

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:

The house also has a large upright freezer, overhead clothes drying pulley and airing cupboard.
Instructions for both washing machine and dishwasher can be found on top of each machine.
En-suite shower is a walk in cubicle shower, with just the lip of the door frame to negotiate.
First basket of logs for the fire is included. Thereafter logs can be purchased locally.
Young children are very welcome but we do recommend parents check the property on arrival for any items they may consider not to be child-friendly.

Unfortunately we don’t take bookings from groups of under 25s or hen and stag parties. We are not a party house. This is our home in a wonderfully peaceful residential area and, along with our lovely neighbours, we wish to keep it that way. Please do not engage in any activity that would be seen as anti-social or cause disruption to others. No fireworks please. Thank you for your understanding.

Please be aware we have a Ring doorbell and an outdoor noise monitor in place, in order to comply with our licence conditions. Neither device records video or conversation. We reserve the right to terminate a rental if there is excessive noise or disturbance.

We have loved the Cairngorms area all our lives and now enjoy sharing it with our four children. We love the outdoor lifestyle here, so much to do and see - so many wonderful cafes to visit and cakes to eat! Number Nine really is a second home to us and we are sure it will leave you feeling the same way.

Why they chose this property

A very warm Highland welcome awaits in our lovely woodland village. Carrbridge is a thriving, friendly village with all the amenities you could ask for. There is a wonderful network of paths through the woods, up the river and beyond – endless walking and family friendly off-road cycling from the door. The woods can be accessed directly off our road. Mountain bikers will love it! The village has its own golf course, cafe, friendly local pub with excellent food, Spar shop and the award winning Landmark Adventure Park offers a fabulous day out for the whole family. There is also an enchanting carving trail round the village. The local scenery and wildlife are exceptional. Further afield you will find the steam railway, historic buildings, walking for all abilities, lochs and hills, fishing, zip wires, watersports, skiing, clay pigeon shooting and the world famous Speyside whisky trail to name only a few. We are well positioned for exploring the entire Cairngorms National Park, Loch Ness and the wonderful Moray coast too. Come and see for yourself, you won't be disappointed!
