About this property

Traditional detached farmhouse, pet friendly

Our beautiful farmhouse is around 300 years old. We renovated and upgraded it to make it a welcoming, cosy home-from-home for our guests. It has stunning views over open rural landscape all the way to the sea. It comfortably sleeps up to 5 adults in three bedrooms.

On the ground floor there is a spacious, fully-equipped dining kitchen, a cosy lounge with wood-burning stove, a bathroom and utility room. The small single bedroom is located internally, off the kitchen.

Upstairs there are two large bedrooms. One with a king-size bed and small separate dressing room. The other has two single beds. Our mattresses and bedding are of the highest quality and there is plenty of storage space.

Outside, the farmhouse has a large (60sqm), fully-enclosed, sunny terrace with garden furniture. There is parking space for two or three cars.

Most rooms have sea views.

Full-fibre broadband gives excellent internet connectivity.

This property is in a lovely remote area but still with easy access to Stonehaven and Aberdeen. Beautifully decorated and easy to keep clean. A great stay.

Lovely break

A gem of a house, in beautiful rolling farmland close to a rugged coast. My two pointers enjoyed themselves with lovely walks locally, and a day on Mount Keen. The cottage is very comfortable and spacious.

1 week stay at the farmhouse :)

Just spent a week at the farmhouse...description is quite accurate, and location is terrific for a relaxing and central location to tour the area. We visited Aberdeenshire, and were only a short trip home at the end of day to enjoy tranquility. Also, the location next to Dunottar Castle is amazing - we were able to visit each evening after the crowds were gone, and were fortunate to spy pods of dolphins from the cliffs. Overall a terrific stay. Recommend and would stay again.

Schönes Haus in Küstennähe

Das Ferienhaus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man im Urlaub so braucht. Es liegt ein Stück außerhalb des Ortes und ist umgeben von Feldern und Pferdeweiden, aus dem Fenster kann man bis zum Meer sehen. Empfangen wurden wir mit einer Flasche Wein und Gebäck, die Vermieterin, Sheila, war freundlich und zurückhaltend. Einen kleineren Supermarkt gibt es im Ort, für größere Märkte muss man ein paar Meilen weiter fahren. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und können die Unterkunft empfehlen.
