This picture postcard detached Victorian Cottage is modern yet retains all its charm in a beautiful rural location.. 1 step to entrance.

Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet. Economy 7 central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels inlcuded. Fuel for open fire included. Welcome pack. . Enclosed back garden with sittingout area and garden furniture. Fly fishing on-site, license £140. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. Picture postcard perfect, The Lodge is a delightful Victorian Lodge set in a tranquil large garden with lovely views over Mochrum Park. The Lodge will appeal to all guests none more so than the keen fisherman as a two minute walk through the private parkland takes you to “40 Footer” pool by the fishing hut on the middle of the beat. Absolute heaven for the Anglers amongst you!
The Lodge is all on the ground floor and has a cosy sitting room with open fire, perfect for those chillier Scottish evenings, a well equipped kitchen where you will find everything you need to prepare a lovely family meal. The bedrooms are warm and inviting ensuring that perfect nights sleep after a long day sat by the River!! This is the perfect location for exploring further afield if you can tear yourself away from your fishing!
As well as fishing the location is perfect for walkers and cyclists, it is surrounded by miles of quiet country lanes as well as being close to Kirroughtree and the renowned 7stanes mountain bike trails. Not forgetting the golfers as there is a great choice of golf courses close by. Explore the beautiful gardens in the area and with its stunning coastline there are many rocky coves, sandy beaches and quaint villages to enjoy.
From The Lodge explore the wonders of the Galloway Forest Park, Britain’s largest forest park with three hundred square miles of wild beauty just waiting to be explored. The park boasts tranquil valleys, rugged rock faces, forest, moorland, lochs and ancient woodland alongside a huge diversity of wildlife including red and roe deer, wild goats and many birds of prey. Beach 20 miles. Pub and restaurant 7 miles.
The Lodge (ref UK37999) can be booked together with The Coach House (ref UK38000) and The Smithy (ref UK38001) to accommodate up to 16 guests.
