Villa Arcangela An is a charming and welcoming detached house located on a hillside overlooking the sea. It sleeps five people. <br><br>You will not need a car to stay at Villa Arcangela A. If you do have one, you can park it for a fee in a public car park in city centre Amalfi (since it is a public lot, parking spaces cannot be reserved). Villa Arcangela An is one of the holiday homes available in a small complex. Please find a general description of the complex below, and please scroll further down for a description of Villa Arcangela A.<br>Villa Arcangela An and B are two apartments that are part of a medieval building, which used to be an ancient Saracen watchtower. It is situated high up on a picturesque stretch of rocky coastline, at an elevation of approximately 100 metres (330 feet) above sea level, and almost sheer above the sea itself. Every view of the seascape in this area is truly breathtaking.<br><br>The building is part of a cluster of ancient houses clinging to the top of a rocky outcrop, all facing the sea and the sun, and surrounded by lemon groves. Here, the authentic locals of Amalfi live their lives at a quiet, unhurried pace, and there are no crowds of tourists.<br><br>You’ll reach it by walking uphill for about 20 metres (20 yards) along a short pedestrian alley. Once through the main door, you’ll find yourself in a small courtyard, enclosed on three sides by white walls, with the fourth side opening onto a spectacular view of the coast and the sea.

Antonio was great, we came in late and he waited for us to open the apartment. He also helped with the luggage. A lot of steps to get to the apartment, but that’s Amalfi..

The place it’s gorgeous with an incredible view of the Mediterranean as well as the mountains above and around you! It is cozy and relaxing. The rental also has AC which was perfect for the 90F days! The host is just as great as the place if not better! Antonio is absolutely wonderful and incredibly helpful! Couldn’t have asked for a better host or a better place to stay! It was perfect! Grazie mille per lo splendido soggiorno!! Highly recommend!

Incredible view from the patio. The unit is conveniently located with regards of public transportation as you can take either the Pogerola or Agerola line to get there. A bus stop right in front. Antonio welcomed us in and made sure everything was perfect. We had a blast and will definitely consider this unit again when we come back to Amalfi. Grazie. Merci !

The property was as described in the listing and photos and was perfect for our three days in Amalfi. The couple who helps to manage the property are right across the street and helped us when needed with supplies or questions. The only issue with the property for us was having ants in all of the sleeping areas and kitchen. As others have said the location is good, and there is a bus stop located next to the house, which we used easily to access Amalfi and nearby areas.

Just as listed. Carlo is an outstanding host. Difficult connecting with property manager for check in, but super kind and helpful during our stay. Be prepared to use the bus when staying here! The bus stop is 250 feet from the door. You will help yourself by getting the SITA SUD bus schedule online before you arrive. You will live like a local which is what we hoped for.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la maison de Carlo. Nous étions un couple et 3 enfants et il avait de la place pour tout le monde. La vue depuis la terrasse est incroyable: les yachts viennent mouiller au pied des falaises.La voiture n’est pas indispensable car l’arrêt de bus est juste à la porte de la maison. Cependant, si vous venez en voiture prévoyez de prendre un parking, sinon impossible de se garer!Un immense merci à Antonio qui a été de très bon conseil, très réactif et a grandement contribué au bon déroulement du séjour.

Wir hatten als Familie eine sehr schöne Zeit. Die Unterkunft ist ausreichend groß für vier Personen. Die Räume sind gut bemessen und größer als sie auf den Bildern wirken. Die Terrasse ist großzügig und bietet einen fantastischen Blick auf das Meer oder die Berge und den Ort.Die Lage hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Man sollte aber gut zu Fuß sein. Ein kleiner Supermarkt ist leicht zu erreichen. Nach Amalfi kann man laufen (ca. 30min).Auf ein Auto sollte man besser verzichten. Ein Parkplatz ist zwar vorhanden, aber kostet extra. Man kommt ohnehin besser mit dem Bus von A nach B. Zwei Haltestellen sind in unmittelbarer Nähe.Der Eingang vom Weg wird mit der benachbarten FeWo geteilt. Die beiden FeWo sind ausreichend separiert. Als wir da waren, war sie ohnehin nicht besetzt.Etwas zu verbessern gibt es immer: Eine Geschirrspülmaschine wäre schön und ein Wäscheständer.Was man auch wissen sollte: Es gibt generell in der Gegend wirklich viele (eher kleine) Ameisen und diese finden auch den Weg in die Unterkunft. Man sollte also nicht allzu empfindlich darauf sein. Einmal endete eine Ameisenstraße im Rucksack meiner Tochter :-). Ohne etwas Chemie, um punktuell die Ameisenstraßen zu unterbrechen, geht es nicht. Diese ist vorhanden. Nach 2-3 Tagen haben die Ameisen dann andere Wege genommen. Das Ameisenproblem ist aber nicht der Unterkunft anzulasten.Wir fühlten uns auch gut betreut von Antonio. Der Empfang und Abschied hat jeweils gut funktioniert. Wir würden wieder kommen.

Die Wohnung hat eine schöne große Terrasse mit tollem Blick aufs Meer und einen übderdachten großen Tisch mit Schatten. Da während unseres Aufenthaltes das Wetter aber schon etwas kühll war, wäre es schön , wenn man noch einen kleinen Tisch und 2 leichte Stühle haben könnte, den man je nach Sonnenstand auf der Terrasse platzieren kann. Im Bad sollte die Schiebetüre der Dusche erneuert werden , da sie klemmt, auch stabilere Ablagen für Badeutensielien und mehr Haken an den Wänden des Bades wären wünschenswert. In der Küche bitte die Waschmaschine unbedingt mal reinigen ! Antonio war sehr hilfsbereit, hat uns auch beim Gepäck tragen geholfen und uns am ersten Abend mit seinem PKW in ein schönes Restaurant gefahren - vielen Dank! Er spricht gut englisch, sodass man auch ohne Italienischkenntnis sich gut ihm unterhalten kann. Insgesamt hatten wir eine sehr schönen Uralub bei ihm.
