Very compy, really home from home, nicely thought out. In the description it said steep stairs, and yes they were very steep, parking was very tight as we have a large suv found it better reversing from the main road. All in all a lovely few days

Wow what a beautiful place! From the lovely decor to the views, we couldn’t have asked for more. Jack was absolutely lovely too, we asked him a couple of questions and he couldn’t have been more helpful. They’ve thought of everything there too, so you won’t be caught out. So, a bit more info…the cottage has been recently renovated and it’s been done really well. One of us has actually found and bought the same lamp after coming home! Each room is really pretty…and when we went into the rooms and saw the view, it was even better. The town is within walking distance, there is a bit of a hill but to be honest it made us feel like we’d worked off some of the food we’d eaten, so that worked too!Would highly recommend this cottage, and I’ve even spoken to my husband about making a return visit with my family. Thanks so much Jack for a fantastic stay and making the send off for our friend just that bit more special.

I would say if your a couple coming in one car then this is a lovely property.

I would say if your a couple coming in one car then this is a lovely property. Very nicely presented, very clean and the hot tub with views over Bakewell, is a great added bonus. Just to say when it says the stairs are steep, it is very accurate especially after a full day's walking!! We had a young puppy with us and the garden was perfect for her and safely enclosed. I suspect the steep stairs are the reason for soft mattresses as whilst in good condition wouldn't recommend if you have back problems like me.Now...if your not a couple or friends coming in two cars like us, you really need to take on board there is parking for only one car and nothing nearby for a 2nd car. We were a bit mislead by the pictures thinking there was road parking available as well. Take care the neighbours are definitely not friendly if you even try to load or unload at the property, no matter how polite you are 😳. That said everyone else we met on our local adventures were wonderful, warm and welcoming 😀.
