Mountainside Homes is a small, family-owned business offering two luxury vacation homes in beautiful Steamboat Springs. By owning the properties we manage and by keeping our business small, we are able to maintain the homes in first-class condition and give you the attention and service you deserve. The accommodations are both elegant and spacious. Each 3500 square-foot residence sleeps 8-13 comfortably. If your group is larger than 13, two homes may be rented and joined via a connecting door on the middle level. We feature two decors: American Lifestyles in the Couloir home and Lodge style in the Chaparral home. Enjoy breathtaking views from the decks or hot tub, providing a memorable backdrop to your ski or summer vacation.

All four bedrooms are sizeable and have their own bath, providing plenty of space for comfort and privacy. Make yourself at home next to a cozy fire in the great room - the perfect setting for relaxing or entertaining. The kitchens are luxurious and fully equipped.

Whether you're planning a ski vacation business retreat or annual family reunion, these spacious homes will ensure that everyone in your group enjoys the time together.

House was great and plenty of space for a family of 9. It was great to be able to get to the slopes so easily. Communication with the owner was great. He responded to us quickly when we had questions.

Awesome place for skiing, shopping, enjoying the views

This property is amazing! Plenty of space to have 13 guests in the main living area and not feel squished. Management was so accommodating and made sure everything, including hot tub, was working properly. We were already talking about coming back before we even left. Offers something for everybody. Easy walk to the slopes for the skiers, easy drive to town for the shoppers, amazing view of the gondola and valley for the loungers. Highly recommend.

Everything you could ask for

What a stay! Mark and the hostess were incredibly helpful, responsive, and accommodating. We had no issues at all during the 5 night stay, with ample supplies included. Location is great for skiing or visiting town, since you are only about 100-150 yards from the slope. Very clean, hot tub was excellent. We're already thinking about coming back next year!

Very enjoyable stay

Our group of friends really enjoyed our stay. The Property manager was very responsive and helpful. The kitchen was VERY well equipped for our group. The handyman even shoveled the stairs to the hot tub the morning after a snow! Only notes: The 'hike' in ski boots down/up the road to get to/from the slopes was not easy and slippery after all the snow. The mid level rooms stayed warm despite turning the heat off in each room.

Hi Grant, I'm sorry to hear you had issues with the heat. I spoke with my maintenance person, and he said he did not receive a call. He went and checked and said all the heat zones are working properly. (Occasionally people don't realize that there are two thermostats for each floor.) After a snow it can be slick. I've found it best to walk in the soft snow on the very edge when that's the case. We've never received less than 5 stars before, so I apologize that it was less than perfect for you. We strive to exceed our guests' expectations.

Gorgeous views, walk to the slopes

We had a group of 12 for Christmas. This home is very spacious, the beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is nicely equipped. The snow was kept shoveled and plowed and clean linens brought daily. It is only a short walk to the slopes, which was a huge bonus. The first night here was spent watching fireworks from the hot tub! The windows in this home are incredible, with beautiful views. The owner was very attentive and communicated though out to make sure we had a wonderful trip. We will definitely be back!

Really cares that you have a great experience

The location and the amenities were perfect for our group. A very short walk to the slopes and a great living space for games, meals, and relaxing on the couch together. The host was an excellent communicator even before we arrived. He called to make sure everything was set up how we needed- even offering to make the two twins into a king set up for one of the couples. Check in was very easy and Jessica met us to show us the house and answer any questions. When we had questions, both Jessica and Mark were very quick to respond. We had an issue with the hot tub- which they clean between every visiting group - and Mark made sure to get it taken care of quickly. He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy, even providing some funds for a meal since we were unable to enjoy the hot tub for 2 nights. That being said, the hot tub seems to function well after being heated correctly and we loved spending time in it after a ski day. You can tell Mark cares deeply that everything goes perfectly for your vacation. His hospitality is truly unmatched and would definitely recommend a stay here!

The house was perfect for our two week stay. All of the rooms had either private bath or shared one. Enough room to spread out and area for the young ones to have their space. The local rep Lluvia was wonderful. Quick to reply when contacted. I contacted the owner our first night and he immediately replied. Important when questions arise. The house was very clean and the midweek care was a nice treat.Would consider again if the family were to consider Steamboat.

Fantastic Townhome for Family Getaway

The staff, owner and unit itself at Mountainside Home's Colouir unit make any family vacation a fantastic one. We have spent a lot of time in Steamboat and have a pretty good idea of the lodging options. When we go with a large group of friends and family we are looking for (1) slope proximity (2) plenty of room to spread out and (3) a well stocked place for all those family meals. This unit has it all. The unit is large with extra living/socializing areas so that the kids have their own space if they want it (and helps add to the parental sanity). The unit is less than 100 yard from walking out onto the slopes right at the Christie's mid-lift, so even the greenest of skiers can get down the hill. Kitchen is stocked for everything you need. Garage for storage of vehicle and skis. And did I mention the view of the south valley? Spectacular. For the end of the day the brand new hot tub (serviced every day) is just what the ski instructor ordered. Mark, the owner cares both about his units and his guests. He drove up from his home (Colorado Springs I think) to check on us (and I'm sure his unit) to make sure all was well. I enjoyed spending a few minutes learning about him and his time in Steamboat. If you need something, he will make it happen. The unexpected, but most welcome, surprise of the week was daily house keeping service. Really over an above. If you are looking for a great family steamboat rental, look no further, this is the one!

Mountainside Homes are the BEST!!!

The property is awesome! I've been staying at Mountainside Homes for the last 20+ years. Besides being a great house in a great location, the owner and his staff provide unbelievable service, from keeping the place spotless, keeping the hot tub clean and hot, keeping the driveway free of snow and ice, and going out of their way to fulfill any out of the ordinary requests. I've been recommending Mountainside Homes since the first year I've stayed there.

Wonderful home with a great location.

Our group had a great stay in Boswell property. Terrific accommodations and amenities. We never used the car during our stay. Walked to the home each each day for lunch. Loved watching the day develop with the mountain view and the gondola progression. Hope we can return soon!
