Katrina is the most welcoming host and made us feel like we were at home the moment we arrived. The barn location and amenities are beautiful with such nice walks surrounding the farm. Couldn’t recommend more for an idyllic Cotswolds stay and super close to the Chippenham train station via taxi or uber — to get fast train into and out of London.
Katrina was a top host! thank you for everything! very nice place to stay! only one issue: beds are a little bit too small in both bedrooms…..but we managed it

Hi Jurg,
It was a pleasure to host you and your family.
Our bed sizes are as advertised in the listing being a British Double and British King Size bed.
This property was beautiful, very clean and organized. The owner was very helpful with local places and activities to see and do. They communicated very clearly what was provided and explained everything. They went above and beyond to welcome us and make us feel comfortable. I would stay again.
and my husband just got back from a wonderful 2 night stay at the barn. The property was beautiful, and was stocked with everything we needed and more! Katrina was a wonderful host, and didnt hesitate in providing us with lots of information about the property, and recommendations for the surrounding area. Charlie the horse and Duke the lama were welcome additions!Would love to stay again.
Great anniversary get away that we wont ever forget
This was an amazing barn with a great kitchen which made it hard for us to go out for meals. It's fully equipped which made cooking effortless and so special for me and my partner. The location and setting of this place is unbelievably cosy and luxurious. Massive amounts of gratitude to Kat who is the consummate host I can't praise her enough thank you for everything
Katrina is an excellent host. Upon our arrival we were given a whistle stop tour of the premises and facilities. The premises is beautiful, stylish and in a great location to escape the outside world but close enough to access any local amenities. We had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend and can't praise our host and the property enough. Thank you.

Thank you for the lovely review, really pleased you enjoyed the Barn and its amenities
My 14yo daughter and I absolutely loved our stay. The barn was luxuriously renovated and immaculate with many thoughtful touches. I cannot think of one thing we needed (or didn’t need!) that was missing. The incredible chefs kitchen made me wish I was a better cook. And we loved the dogs, horses andllama. The farm and surrounding area is very pretty and it was a lovely place to unwind and absorb the country vibe. In terms of location it was a perfect base to explore the Cotswolds and an easy drive from Heathrow.
What made this property really exceptional however, was the warmth and kindness of our hosts. Katrina and Huw were simply incredible ensuring that we knew where to go and what to do. They made us feel extremely welcome and comfortable and were highly responsive.
We would definitely return if visiting this area again and I highly recommend this fabulous property.

We can't say enough good things about our stay at this Farm. Everything was perfect with so much attention to detail with lovely furnishings and fixtures. So enjoyed our breakfasts with expresso. We would like to take the kitchen home with us. Great living area with high beamed ceiling, nice TV with streaming, and dependable WIFI.. The bathrooms both with tubs, showers, and working heated towel rails (none of the other places we stayed were working) are very upscale. Beds are comfy, American queen size, with a TV upstairs. Looking out to the farm was magical especially while having the autumn colors. Katrina was delightful and incredibly helpful with plans for sightseeing. She and her husband lovingly restored a dilapidated old farm leaving historical elements in tact. It is truly beautiful. We hope to return as it is a great location from which to travel the area. So happy with our stay.

About the host
Hosted by Katrina Forrester & Huw Evans
Hi,
Originally from Australia (Britt Parents from Stoke-on-Trent still live in OZ) my husband Huw and I stumbled across this derelict farm and just fell in love. Perhaps the massive specimen Red River Gum at the end of the driveway was a sign with the Cotswold Stone and just the warm feeling the place gave us as generations before us really put their heart and soul into the buildings and we are so lucky that all or the original buildings remain in situ. There are thirteen barns in total.
When we found her 12 years ago she was a skeleton of her former self and and we could not even see the outbuildings when we brought the place. They were covered in vines and scrap metal was all over the place. A JCB was here for two weeks just clearing what we could not do ourselves!
So we set up home in a mobile home (for 5 years) now the mess is cleared and she is finally returning to her former beauty.
We are sure you will love the farm as much as we do and its our ambition to restore her fully and to share this wonderful place with others for generations to come.
We share the farm with a lama (Duke who loves selfies), a Shetland, horses and 4 dogs.
Look forward to meeting you, Best Katrina
