About the host
Hosted by Carol Welch
I introduced my husband to Rock, Polzeath and Daymer Bay (having fun memories from childhood) when we first met 30 years ago and we have been returning ever since. We are delighted to be able to share it now with you. The Snug is 7 minutes drive to Rock on the Camel Estuary where you can take the Black Tor Ferry to Padstow. Also minutes drive to the well known surfing beach of Polzeath. A short 15 minute drive to Wadebridge and the famous Camel Trail offering walking and cycling along the river estuary. A little further afield is Newquay, Port Isaac, Tintagel and many other attractions. This is a very beautiful part of the UK and attracts those who love food with an incredible choice of quality restaurants such as Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant, Paul Ainsworth at the Mariner's Inn and many more.
Why they chose this property
We bought The Snug, a grade 2 listed barn on 30th September 2021 and have spent the winter completely renovating it with new plumbing, electrics, kitchen, bathroom, flooring and love. The Snug sleeps 2 comfortably in 1 spacious bedroom featuring original beams. There is a very comfortable sofa bed in the open plan living area offering additional flexibility. The Snug is set in a rural location and offers quiet, open and safe grounds with ample parking (2 designated spaces). The Snug is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay and we are absolutely delighted we can now share our cottage with you.
What makes this property unique
