About this property

Rose Bank Cottage, character cottage in Lakeland village with gorgeous views

Rose Bank Cottage is one of a row of pretty terraced cottages built around 1820. The cottage is well positioned not only for village amenities, and fell and footpath access, but also for breath-taking views across to Coniston Water.
Ideally situated, the cottage enjoys fantastic views from both the cottage garden, sitting room and master bedroom which all look out over the village and towards Coniston Water and the rolling Grizedale hills beyond.
In essence Rose Bank is ideal for two couples or a small family looking to explore the local area.

Ground floor
A shared porch provides access to the front door and then on into open plan living area.

The sitting room is warm and inviting with a brick and marble open fireplace which faces the comfortable sofa and chairs, and the original stone floor is rug covered. A window seat provides a great vantage point for taking in the view, there's also a TV, DVD & CD player should you ever get bored of admiring that view!

The dining kitchen to the rear is well equipped with electric hob & oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave & washer/dryer.

First floor
Upstairs the front double room has stunning views across to the lake and the rolling green hills beyond. The back bedroom can be either a double or twin, and both rooms are en suite.

Bedroom 1 - double bed & en-suite shower room & WC and lake views.
Bedroom 2 - king size bed (or twin 2'6" single beds) & en-suite bathroom with shower & WC.

Outside
Across from the cottage over the narrow lane, there is a traditional terraced garden with steps down enjoying garden furniture and seasonal shrubs. Watch the sun rise with an early morning coffee and see the evening shadows chase across the vale.

Cottage booked to climb Scafell peak lovely wee Cottage built in 1920 comfortable cozyThe view from the back bedroom is a rock face approximately 2 feet from the houseThe front bedroom has a lovely view over the fells Access to this Cottage certainly needs expert driving skills very very steep bends you have to navigate very carefully or you will hit the houses on the wall on either side once you arrive signage is non-existent you then have to manoeuvre to allow yourself back out. This details are 10 point when you arrive after a long journey it really is a fit of driving expertise?
