Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. Coniston Cottage is situated in an elevated position with panoramic views across to Coniston Water. This end terrace cottage has an open plan living space with easy seating, TV with complementary Netflix, a spacious dining area and contemporary kitchen all on the ground floor. The property also offers allocated parking for two vehicles at the front and a small patio area at the rear, which is ideal for a morning coffee in the sun before your day of adventure.
This property is perfect for families and couples looking for a great base to explore Coniston, Hawkshead, Ambleside, Windermere, Bowness and an abundance of Lakeland fells to choose from, including the famous Old Man of Coniston which is accessible on foot from the property. If you like outdoor adventure, including climbing, walking and cycling, you are surrounded by some amazing scenery and routes around the local villages. Coniston itself has a number of pubs, restaurants, bars and shops as well as stunning scenery around the lake.
You can take a short drive to Hawkshead and use the car ferry to get to Windermere where you can join the famous Windermere steamers to Lakeside at the southern end of Windermere, or Ambleside at the north. Also close by is Grizedale Forest with a fantastic visitor centre and some amazing forest walks and trails for cyclists, there is even an energetic high wire course up in the tree tops. Whether you’re looking for fun and adventure or peace and tranquillity, Coniston Cottage could be just right for your next Lake District escape. Shop and restaurant 700 yards, pub 350 yards.
