We had a great few days away here with peaceful surroundings and great hosts. The cottage had everything we needed as well as beautiful surroundings. Shops and other villages are not too far away either, so there's more than enough to explore nearby or also a short drive away. I'd definitely recommend!
Judi & Steve are friendly, welcoming hosts! The Cottage is lovely, warm, very clean accommodation & we would recommend anyone visiting North Lincolnshire to stay here.
This is a great 'getaway', well equipped spacious bungalow with everything you could want. Lots of excellent walks on the doorstep, beautiful countryside.
Shops are a 10 minute drive.

Wonderful cottage in a beautiful and peaceful area
We had a fantastic stay at the cottage in Whitton. Very peaceful and quiet, with wonderful walks around the village area and especially along the path beside the Humber Estuary. Hosts Jude and Steve are friendly and helpful. The cottage is very well equipped and we wanted for nothing. We hope to be back!

Thank you so much for your kind review Ian. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and it would be lovely to see you both in the future. I'll be sure to make some more plum jam! xx
Property was as described in a quiet village in the Northern part of Lincolnshire. The hosts who live next door were very welcoming and obliging and all our needs were met willingly. The cottage was immaculate and all the facilities we needed were provided. Our sort of chilled out holiday but also convenient to Scunthorpe and Barton and nearer still for Winterton Coop and fish and chip shops!! A most enjoyable break.

Not far off the beaten path, but it feels light years away. Located in view of the River Humber, with pastures, old stone homes and churches, this is a perfect spot for a quiet rest. Clean and well set up with a nice kitchen and bath. 15 minute drive from stores and good restaurants. The listing parties were warm and friendly. We would definitely stay again.

About the host
Hosted by Judi Davies
I am a publisher of theatrical plays - comedy, drama and pantomime. Having lived most of my life in Derbyshire, I moved to Whitton seven years ago and currently live at the side of Barn Cottage where I make jams, marmalades and chutneys from locally grown produce.
Why they chose this property
This area is so peaceful and quiet. The first night we lived here we were amazed at the silence of the place. It is so beautiful here that the rest of my family moved over!
What makes this property unique
The views from the living room are beautiful. We often see deer hiding in the reed beds by the river. From the kitchen the view is Whitton Church. Its such a pretty place to be.
