About this property

The Haven - Two Bedroom House, Sleeps 4

Cosy cottage vibes abound at this two-bed property in Branscombe within the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. As well as feeling really welcoming, this beautiful cottage spoils guests with touches of both traditional character and up-to-date luxury. Ideal for one couple or a family and two dogs, it’s in a lovely peaceful spot that’s ideal for walking and exploring. Back at your desirable home from home, sink into the sofas before the cosy wood burner in cooler months or spend time in the stone summer shelter or on the patio, kids playing, hounds snoozing by your feet. Relish the supreme comfort of this rural cottage’s surprisingly generous open-plan ground-floor living accommodation which is finished to a high standard and is really family friendly. The warm wood flooring is echoed by the exposed ceiling beams, adding charm and a sense of history. The well-equipped kitchen could bear witness to some culinary triumphs that you can eat at the space-saving breakfast bar for four. Upstairs, a stylish king-size and a fun bunk bedroom await for sweet dreams. A door from the kitchen leads to the outside space, comprising a stone-built shelter with a furnished sitting area and a secure patio, accessed via steps, with lovely views over the surrounding village and hills. The whole pack will enjoy wonderful walks – including on the South West Coast Path – from this traditional cottage that’s also ideally located for trips out. The National Trust’s meadows lead to the dog-friendly beach (0.5 miles), part of the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coast. Enjoy a pint and a meal in the pub after admiring the wonderful cottages of this pretty village. Further afield, esplanades and pebbly beaches await at the Regency gem of Sidmouth (8 miles), at Beer (2.5 miles) and at Seaton (4.5 miles).
