About the host
Your host
We're a family of 4 who relocated to Somerset 5 years ago (pre-pandemic) from South East London in search of space and peace. Now that we've built our dream home, and our boys are old enough, we're keen to travel/explore the world, and are therefore renting our house out for all of August/December.
Why they chose this property
It's big enough for everyone to find their own space, but cosy enough for card games by the large inglenook fireplace in the evening. It's also a great house for outdoor entertaining, with a show-stopping kitchen and large outdoor terrace. As we both work from home, we've ensured soundproof offices with great wifi too.
What makes this property unique
The house is ideally situated - slightly out of the village (kids can be as noisy as they want!) but within walking distance of the pub. It's a 15 min drive from hip Bruton (and its fabulous restaurants), the renowned Newt gardens & hotel and pretty shopping towns of Castle Cary/Sherborne. We're also under an hour away from historic Bath and its gorgeous Georgian architecture.
