Front garden with patio, courtyard, sitting-out area and garden furniture. Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking.. The village of Longhoughton is a pretty, coastal village, just over a mile from the hidden bay at Sugar Sands – an idyllic beach with views across to Dunstanburgh Castle, sited mid-way on the beautiful 20-mile stretch of Heritage coastline designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty. Within the village there is a Co-op store for your provisions. You are well catered for with a popular coffee shop Company B, which is just opposite; amble across for a tasty breakfast, lunch, wonderful home-made cakes or Sunday lunch. In the opposite direction the Running Fox café is dog friendly and has a lovely space both inside and out, serving a wonderful selection of food.
Longhoughton is just 4 miles east of the historic market town of Alnwick with a wide array of amenities including a cinema/playhouse, restaurants, independent shops, a variety of pubs and eateries. Famous for its part in Harry Potter’s Hogwarts, Alnwick Castle is a popular visitor attraction and a short stroll from the town centre. A visit to Alnwick Gardens is a must with its formal garden, including a grand cascade waterfall and ’poison’ garden. A great day out for all the family and you can dine in the largest tree house restaurant in Europe. Readily accessible by public transport, this characterful cottage is only 4 miles from Alnmouth and the popular village of Warkworth with its castle, shops and restaurants, or head north and sample the world-famous kippers of Craster with the nearby walk to the iconic Dunstanburgh Castle or visit Bamburgh Castle and Holy Island.
