Humbug Cottage has been recently renovated to a very high standard, so has all modern amenities whilst retaining all of its period character.

Walk in at ground level to a luxurious open plan living area, with a fully equipped modern kitchen, a seating area that has a comfy sofa and seating for 6 with a large screen Sky Glass Smart TV to enjoy all your favourite shows. There is also a large dining table with great views out into Much Wenlock.

There are Three bedrooms upstairs: 1 x king-size with en-suite walk-in shower, basin and WC, 1 x double, 1 x second-floor mezzanine twin with en-suite roll-top bath, hand-held shower, basin, heated towel rail and WC.

The Wifi is available throughout the entire building.

Beautiful place, amazing beds and very helpful host.

Humbug cottage felt warm and cosy as soon as we walked through the door. The extra touches like milk,bread,butter and the amazing brownies were definitely great. The beds were so comfy and the cotton sheets were fresh and crisp. Great location for visiting the Ironbridge museum , Telford centre was a short drive away too. The town is also idyllic with lots of great places to eat.

A gorgeous place for a family catch up ❤️

We absolutely love the gorgeous cottage! It was so comfortable and had everything you could need. It is very centrally located in the middle of the beautiful Much Wenlock which was perfect for a little shopping and a few drinks at the local. The welcome pack was very welcome after a long drive up from Cornwall and the homemade brownies didn’t touch the sides 😋

Fabulous!

Lovely little cottage in a great location. We had everything we needed from the kitchen to the bathrooms. The beds were super comfy with amazing bedding! Julie left us some lovely cake and milk etc which was very much appreciated. Much Wenlock is a lovely village with some great pubs and perfect location to explore the local area. Thanks so much for a lovely stay!

Jules is an amazing host where nothing is too much trouble, great communication and an amazing welcome hamper filled with local products was a diamond touch. The whole cottage is finished to the highest of standards and fully equipped with everything you’ll need. The high quality and comfortable beds and bedding were the icing on the cake.

One of the best stays we've had anywhere, accommodating, felt very welcomed and very comfortable.

Everything from pre arrival to departure. We were very much welcomed and valued from the outset which set us off in a very good frame of mind. We arriving quite late and Julie had arranged for some essentials on arrival. Place was well stocked with tea, coffee and washing liquid etc. which is perfect to avoid buying a load of items for a few days. Beds very comfy, good quality bedding, decoration / furnishing has been done really nicely. It felt really lovely to get back to each day.

Humbug Cottage has recently been renovated to a very high standard but still retains all the historic character of a late 16th Century Cottage. It has large exposed oak beams throughout and low ceilings giving it a very warm and cosy feel.

The building has lots of history and is fondly remembered by locals as a former Sweet Shop.
Humbug Cottage is the perfect base to explore Shropshire's many historic towns and beautiful countryside. But Humbug Cottage is also the kind of cosy snug place that you may just want to chill and watch the world go by!
