With a patio, a cosy living room, a kitchen, two bedrooms and bathrooms, The Old School House will provide a tranquil retreat for families and small groups.



The Space:

The Old School House has a cosy and homely living room featuring comfortable sofas, a feature fireplace and a flat-screen Smart TV. Whether you’re relaxing with a book or spending quality time with your loved ones, it’s the ideal spot to unwind.



The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering stays so you’ll be able to prepare meals with ease.



The dining room, just off from the kitchen, is home to a dining table which can comfortably accommodate all guests. In the spring and summer months, you can dine alfresco in the private courtyard. A real suntrap, you’ll find a dining area, along with an outdoor heater and a pizza oven/barbeque.



The property features two bedrooms, both located on the first floor.



The master bedroom has a luxurious and comfy king size bed and the second room is a twin. Both rooms have premium bedding to ensure you have a comfortable night sleep.



The Old School House is home to two bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. Both bathrooms feature a shower, WC and basin.

Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed by a key safe, details of which will be sent out prior to your stay.



Free on-street parking is available nearby on a first come, first served basis. A car park offering EV chargers can be found just 300 metres away from the property.



One small well-behaved dog is permitted to stay at The Old School House.

The Old School House is perfectly located in the market town of Pickering. The thriving town has plenty of independent shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars so you won’t tire of things to do. Explore Pickering Castle which is packed with a rich history dating back to the 12th century. Enjoy a walk on the iconic Cleveland Way, or head to Dalby Forest where you can explore the gentle woodland trails. Prefer to push yourself to the extreme? Go Ape Adventure Centre is for you!



From the beautiful North York Moors, to the expansive Great Yorkshire Forest and finally the delightful North Yorkshire coast, Pickering is ideally situated where you can experience everything the county has to offer.



Pickering also featured in the latest Indiana Jones and Mission Impossible films. King Charles also visited Pickering in 2023.



Getting Around:

Pickering has great bus routes with journeys to York, Malton, Thirsk, Helmsley, Whitby, Scarborough and Leeds.



The nearest mainline railway station can be found 8 miles away in Malton with routes to Scarborough, Manchester and Liverpool amongst others.



The Old School House is located just a short 6-minute walk to Pickering rail station where you can experience the infamous North Yorkshire Moors Railway. The station is a must see with a 1930s theme, so you’ll be transported back in time to the steam era. From here, you can travel to popular destinations such as Whitby, Grosmont and Goathland.
