My partner and I stayed here with our families during our wedding weekend and it was so special! Such a beautiful setting, with a gorgeous garden and surroundings. The house provided a perfect and tranquil place to get ready for our big day and was a great backdrop to some of our wedding photos. Everything was super clean, well equipped and the owners were so helpful and quick to respond with some questions we had in the lead up to our stay.
This was an ideal stay for me and my family to celebrate my 70th. The house was wonderful, very peaceful and ideal for walking, biking, horse riding. We had massages and a sound bath session which were really good. I’ve made precious memories with my family and thoroughly recommend this house and surroundings to stay at. I’d love to revisit in the summer so we can use the outside area more.
We spent four nights in Lower Barn House over New Year. We had a mixed group of family from grandparents to newborns and the house was great for all. We found the communication from the property manager Cheryl and the owners fantastic. The property itself is secluded with great outdoor space (when the weather permits!). The living area and kitchen are also great for larger family gatherings. We will be looking to visit again!
Thank you for all the little touches, a really well equipped kitchen, a good iron and ironing board, nice family friendly sofa, great bed linen fluffy towels, nice soap! It all works and is a pleasure. Your thoughtfulness is our good time. Thank you.
I stayed with my family to celebrate my 70th birthday and the house was perfect for the 10 of us plus 2 dogs. Location was ideal, in the pretty countryside and very peaceful. The house was lovely and clean, had everything we needed for the 3 nights, and we booked massages, a sound bath experience and one of us went horseriding. The walks from the house were great too, even though a bit muddy now and again, but you have to expect that in January! Overall we had a really amazing time and I would. It hesitate to recommend staying here. I’d love to rebook and stay in the warmer months to experience the outdoor facilities too.
This property is lovely, cozy and a great size! Also quite remote therefore we didn't have to worry about neighbours. After asking the host about a hot tub, this option was implemented as an add-on for the listing and this was ready to go for us when we got there - great!
Everything we needed was there and the fireplace was a plus - the terrace looked lovely although we came in October and it was too wet/cold to use properly.
Minor issue (can't be changed): soundproofing is not that good so with a larger group and people's sleeping patterns being different, we did hear each other quite a bit.
While this stay was great for us as a group of 10 for a weekend, I think this property is best for 9 people (the tenth person used a sofabed which was next to the kitchen; there was a hatch which isn't ideal when someone sleeps there)
Nevertheless, we loved it!! Thank you very much! We had a lovely weekend!
