Just a stone's throw (we're talking just 350m) from the glorious beach of Alum Chine, you'll have the entire ground floor of this grand Edwardian property, giving you two huge bedrooms, a sumptuous lounge, modern kitchen and bathroom, plus, a private parking space - a premium in this area. And when you're not on the beach, relax in the well-furnished private garden. With the shops and restaurants of Westbourne just a 15-minute walk, this is your perfect beach getaway.
Although the house has been converted into separate flats, your apartment has its very own private entrance - the original grand front door. A huge crystal chandelier greets you in the hallway and high ceilings and cornicing set the luxury tone. The entire flat is flooded with light owing to the enormous windows in each room.
The large bedroom is perfect for families, giving you the choice of a double bed, a single bed and a sofa bed that sleeps one. It also has its own smart TV. The second bedroom has a double bed and a private door leading out to the garden patio.
In the lounge are two sofas and a dining table for six. In the winter cuddle up and turn on the log-effect fire while watching a movie or playing a selection of games.
The modern kitchen is well equipped with a gas hob/electric double oven, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave. Guests can keep the cooks company by pulling up a stool at the breakfast bar, or step from the kitchen through the French doors to sit on the patio – the perfect spot to enjoy breakfast in the morning as the sun rises or evening dinner. The patio is decked out with lots of furniture, making it an ideal socialising area. Or follow the path around to the front of the house where additional seating captures the afternoon sun.

We had a fabulous time in this beautiful garden flat. It is tastefully decorated, well equipped and very clean and tidy. And also in a perfect location. The host Kerry is so kind and helpful.Thoroughly recommended.

Chose this property due to the location to the beach. Only a short walk of 5 minutes to the stunning sandy beach and then only 20 minutes into the centre of Bournemouth. Short stay of 2 nights but very comfortable with lots of nice touches eg fresh flowers in the living room. Excellent contact with the host checking all was well. Also recommend the area of Westbourne itself and Chez Fred for fish and chips excellent.

The Flat is absolutely lovely, very clean, really comfortable and beautifully presented. The high ceilings add to the feeling of bright open space as soon as you walk into the property. The flat is beautifully decorated and furnished and was immaculately clean. It is in a fantastic location, just a short walk from the beach. Having the private outdoor space was also great for the kids to play in.
Kerry is a wonderful host, she was in touch before we arrived with all the details we needed, and after we left. The little personal touches she left for us such as milk in the fridge, a little gift for the children, some delicious cookies and the most amazing smelling toiletries made it all feel really special. The flat has absolutely everything a family needs during their stay. Would definitely recommend!

As we opened the front door and entered this gorgeous flat we immediately felt comfortable and at home. A lot of holiday lets are quite sterile but this had lovely little additions such as green plants, magazines, in addition to comfortable furnishings. The flat was well equipped and had all that we needed for our stay. A short walk to the beach, which was a bonus.

I used to live in this beautiful flat with my family - until my daughters wanted separate rooms. I fully intend to return to live here one day as it is my absolute happy place. It's a stunning flat. I love that it's so close to the beach - you can even walk down with your swimming costume on! I now live just five minutes around the corner so I'm on hand should ever you need me. I take great pride in presenting my flat beautifully and treating all my guests like friends. I'm not a five-star hotelier, but I always try my very best to be a five-star host.
Why they chose this property
The area is beautifully quiet. The roads can get busy in the summer but that's never a problem for my guests as they can park their car on the driveway. It takes just a few minutes to walk down to the beach of Alum Chine where you'll find a children's play ground, restaurant, ice-cream kiosk and toilets right on the prom. Walk to the left along the prom and in 20/30 minutes you'll be in Bournemouth Gardens. Walk to the right and you'll reach Sandbanks. The entire sandy beach stretches for 6 glorious miles. The closest shops are in the "village" of Westbourne. It takes about 20 minutes to walk through the wooded chine to reach this bustling little "village" with its collection of coffee shops, restaurants, pubs and independent boutiques. The closest bus stop is literally just around the corner from the flat. The closest train station is Branksome which is a 10-minute drive away from the flat. Alternatively, Bournemouth station is a 20-minute drive away. Trains serve London Waterloo in one direction and Weymouth in the other.
What makes this property unique
My flat is beautifully light, thanks to the vast windows in each room. It's a large flat and comes with a wrap-around garden - so it's easy to chase the sun. It also comes with parking for two cars - a real bonus, particularly in the height of summer.
