The cottage happily accomodated 6 adults and 4 children and was very comfortable. We identified a few problems which Tina quickly sorted which, surprisingly, appear not to have been reported by the previous occupants. We were so lucky with the weather but we noticed that sadly there were no comfortable outdoor chairs.
Wonderful house and garden that exceeded expectations. Lovely and spacious, a real home from home. A Good welcome pack with children and our dog well catered for. We would definitely recommend this property.

A long weekend break
The Old Mill is very spacious and comfortable whilst keeping its original charm .It was ideal for our family of 6 adults, 2 children and dog. Peaceful village location but we also found it convenient for visiting local attractions. Would like to stay here again at some future date

Great property
Great house for large group. Spotless. Amenities great. Very comfortable and lovely extra to have Christmas tree up and external decorations.
10 adults and there was plenty of room. The kitchen is well equipped and plenty of seating for breakfast. The lounge is comfortable and the large dining table is very family friendly. Close to the seafront and Paignton zoo. Would definitely recommend it

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in
Excellent Stay
Gorgeous house, slight issue with getting access to the property at the allocated check in time. Feel it would benefit from a downstairs cloakroom and better and more comfortable garden furniture

Beautiful cottage in idyllic village
Very unique and spacious cottage with farmhouse style kitchen and lovely high beamed ceilings in the bedrooms. Plenty of space for 10 people and dogs. The light and airy upstairs lounge was a great spot for a quiet read and the themed bedrooms were very tasteful with top quality bed linen and very comfortable beds. Only negative for us was the lovely , fenced in, garden was on several levels and had small streams running through, making it unsuitable for our inquisitive dogs. This did not spoil our experience and we enjoyed a fabulous 2 weeks, especially as the weather was brilliant and we were able to participate in a family wedding locally. The location of Old Mill Cottage is excellent as the village of Marldon is gorgeous. We were able to walk to Compton Castle, a National Trust property which is well worth a visit. Beaches are not far away, with Goodrington Sands being a favourite as it’s clean, flat and dog friendly.
Our extended family stayed at The Old Mill between Christmas and New Year. To say that the property is spacious would be an understatement! Every room is generous. The kitchen is very well equipped with absolutely everything you could want to cater for a large group. Plenty of mugs (easy to run out when there's lots of you, so much appreciated), plates and cutlery. There's a large oven which easily accommodates mass catering. I wouldn't hesitate to cook a Christmas lunch there! The lounge area is massive, with plenty of comfy seating. The dining table again, is huge with comfy chairs. We had 2 children with us - there was lots of room for their toys (which we took with us). There are a few games and books in the property for children. The 4 year old enjoyed the football/games table upstairs. The beds were very comfortable - excellent bedding. Luxurious towels. In fact, everything you could need. Finally, the owners were on-hand and very responsive to any requests. The small garden is charming but not completely safe for toddlers - not a problem for us in the wintertime.***** review from us!

A huge house
We stayed here as part of a large group of friends and the size of everything made it just about perfect. The living space is massive, the kitchen is massive, the bedrooms are all a great size.
You will almost never run out of plates, cups and glasses its very well stocked.
The central heating was a little tricky to manage as we couldn't find the instructions or the boiler to begin with but got there in the end. The fire in the living room was the perfect answer for heat though, that thing heats the downstairs living space perfectly.
The weather wasn't right for us to use the garden but that is a great size and I imagine is great for the summer months.
There is a smartTV in the living room so watching films in front of the fire in the evenings is no issue at all.
The location is great, although follow the instructions the owners send you if you aren't a confident driver as the back roads are extremely tight.
To sum up, you won't regret staying here
