What a cool experience! The houseboat is new and elegantly furnished. Once we purchased the Amsterdam Regional ticket, the bus to Lederdjk - and the walk to the houseboat it was easy.

This is a lovely houseboat at the end of a jetty. It is easily accessed on the 800 bus from the Central Station in Amsterdam, getting off just before the cheese and clog shop. We had a fabulous time, the surrounding area is beautiful. Would highly recommend

Great houseboat

Beautiful houseboat in the charming village of Monnickedam. Clean and confortable for a family of 4 - it has everything we needed. Roof deck not pictured to enjoy the sunsets, and a outside table in the front. Close to town, it's an easy walk to restaurants and maybe 20 mins to the grocery store. Easy communication with the host. One small detail, the location in the marina is different than the picture, the houseboat has close neighbourghs but it wasn't a problem. We had a great time!

Great experience if you want something different

Would I stay here again! Yes. I wanted something different than a hotel and that is why I picked this. Pros- beautiful sunsets. Nice deck to drink some beers. Bus about a 10 min walk and so easy to get into city. Beautiful town to walk in. Cons- when we arrived via taxi it dropped us off at the closed gate. Contact Lars when you are close so he can open gate. There are two entrances to the marina - make sure you are at the correct one. The gate to the boat was only a 5 min walk (but with luggage and a long flight it may be tiring)We had a little difficulty in finding the boat. Luckily, an employee at the marina contacted Lars. Using the cart to move luggage on dock was alittle cumbersome. But worth it. Overall worth it!

Super eingerichtet- sehr gemütlich und mit allen Details, die einen willkommen heißen. Die Lage ist sehr gut- ruhig, in der Nähe mit Supermarkt und einem sehr hübschen Städtchen. Amsterdam ist gut erreichbar. Wir waren über Silvester dort- Heizung etc. lief auch bei den kühlen Tagen so gut, dass wir uns wohl gefühlt haben.

Die Lage des Hausbootes ist gut, aber der ganze Hafenparkplatz und die Bauruine des alten Hotels sind sehr hässlich und nicht einladend. Aber vielleicht wird dort ja ein schönes neues Projekt geplant. Man könnte was draus machen.Trotzdem hatten wir eine sehr schöne Zeit auf diesem gemütlichen Boot, welches eine tolle Ausstattung hatte.

Besser geht kaum

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Boot ist sehr gemütlich und nach unseren Tagesausflügen nach Amsterdam und Delft haben wir Abends die Ruhe auf dem Boot sehr genossen, Jeden Tag ein neuer wunderschöner Sonnenuntergang. Unseren Töchtern (15 & 18) hat es auch sehr gefallen und das ist nicht immer sehr leicht zu gewährleisten ;-). Der Weg zum Supermarkt dauert zu Fuss schon 20 Minuten, wir hatten aber Mietfahrräder, so ging das sehr gut. Der Weg nach Amsterdam ist sehr gut mit ÖV erschlossen (ca. 8 Verbindungen pro Stunde), dauert bis ins Zentrum ca. 30 Minuten. Auf dem Boot ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht, uns hat nichts gefehlt. Unsere Host Manon haben wir nur kurz bei Ankunft gesehen, sie war uns mega sympathisch und hat uns alles kurz gezeigt. Den schriftlichen Kontakt hatten wir mit Host Lars, er hat uns alle Fragen jederzeit kompetent und sehr nett beantwortet. Wir waren dadurch super vorbereitet auf unsere Ausflüge. Außergewöhnliche Lage mitten in der Marina, sehr gute Anbindung an den öffentlichen Nahverkehr nach Amsterdam. Ein leckeres Restaurant/ Take-away in Laufweite (5 Minuten), ein Supermarkt etwas weiter entfernt im Ort (ca. 15 Minuten zu Fuß). Das Hausboot ist sehr modern ausgestattet, und bietet Komfort auf minimaler Fläche. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten mit unseren beiden Teenager-Kindern einen entspannten Aufenthalt, und kommen gerne wieder!

Gerne wieder

Ein sehr, sehr schönes Hausboot, man lebt wie in einem Wintergarten. Die Lage am Ende der Marina ist toll: Blick aufs Wasser, wenig Publikumsverkehr und doch (Segel-)Hafenatmosphäre. Das wäre in der Lage auf den Bilder in der Anzeige nicht so entspannt gewesen. Die Ausstattung ist vollständig und durchdacht. Uns fehlten nur eine große Salatschüssel (2 kleine taten es auch) und ein Feuerzeug (alle Nichtraucher) für die liebevoll bereitgestellten Kerzen. Also alles gut. Ach ja: eine einzige breite Bettdecke empfinden wir persönlich als "ehegefährdend" ;-) . Auch hier waren genug andere Decken da. Und wir hätten uns jederzeit bei den Gastgebern melden können, fanden wir halt nicht notwendig. Was noch? Es hat in dieser Juliwoche fast durchgehend geregnet. Die wenigen Sonnenstunden haben wir auf der schönen Dachterrasse genossen. Sonst konnte man sich zwischen den Ausflügen wunderbar mit dem Internet und dem wirklich guten Angebot an Streamingdiensten auf dem Fernseher beschäftigen. Hier konnten unsere beiden Teenager halt auch nicht "mal eben" verschwinden, so daß wir Familienzeit hatten. Was war doof? Der Ort Monnickendam ist wunderschön und sympathisch, aber massiv teuer. Essen gehen mit der Familie - besser in den Nachbarorten. Aber wir hatten ja auch eine schöne Küche an Bord! Liebe Grüße an Lars und Manon!

Traumhaftes Hausboot

Das von uns gemietete Hausboot war sehr modern und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Alles war sehr hochwertig. Die Ausstattung war üppig. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Auch die Lage an der Marina war sehr schön. Der Ort Monnickendam erwies sicht als idealer Standort: viele sehr gute Restaurants und Cafés, ein hübscher Ortskern und eine große Marina. Die Einwqeisung vor Ort für das Hausboot durch manon war sehr angenehm und informativ.

Tolle Unterkunft

Wir haben zu fünf Personen einen einwöchigen Urlaub auf dem Hausboot verbracht. Alles war supersauber und die Küchenausstattung ungewöhnlich gut. Zwar gibt es nur zwei Schlafzimmer (davon eins mit Stockbett), aber eine unserer Töchter konnte prima auf dem Sofa im Wohnraum schlafen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die mit Gartenmöbeln ausgestattete Dachterrasse, die wir bei schönem Wetter mit Jacken auch im April schon nutzen konnten. Monnickendam ist ein reizendes kleines Städtchen und fünf Minuten vom Hafen enfernt befindet sich die Bushaltestelle für den Bus nach Amsterdam. Wir können diese Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen!

Traumhaftes Hausboot

Wir waren über Silvester dort, trotz des schlechten Wetters war es eine tolle Unterkunft, gemütlich, stilvoll eingerichtet. Und auch die Windböen hat man kaum gemerkt. Also für einen Trip in die nähe von Amsterdam perfekt.
