About the host
Hosted by Lucy Taylor

Sarah’s cottage was originally 2 old fishing cottages, with stores underneath, dating back to the 16th Century. We moved upstairs 40 years ago. We are delighted to now offer a stay at this unique fishing cottage in the heart of the town.
Sarah’s Pasty Shop was established in 1988 where the 2 old fishing stores were converted into a takeaway bakery, where my Mum and her Mum used to make pasties for the locals at the weekends. As we got busier, we extended our opening times, and now operate for 11 months of the year, 6 days a week! Our pasties are lovingly made by hand, with local produce and a recipe that came from Sarah’s mother, Joan. Sarah has now retired, and her eldest daughter Lucy has taken over the business.
The cottage is based above the shop so you may wake up to the divine smell of pasties being baked and the occasional laugh of a happy crimper! Feel free to pop downstairs during your stay and watch them being crimped!
We want you to treat the cottage as if it is your home from home, and we have tried to give you all the necessary things you could require from a holiday in Cornwall including beach towels, and even a bucket and spade for the tiny travellers!
You will find Lucy downstairs most days, so if you have any questions, please feel free to come and find Lucy and she will do her best to help you. Otherwise, you can text us between 8am and 7pm and we will get back to you asap (unless it is an emergency then you may call outside of these hours).
Have a wonderful stay and we hope you make lots of happy memories here on your holiday in lovely Looe.
