About this property

The New England style lakeside holiday cottages are positioned around three natural, reed edged lakes, located within the Cotswold Water Park.
Isis & Windrush Lakes is a private and beautifully landscaped holiday home development. It is a lovely family-friendly location to relax by the lakes and also offers a wide range of on-site activities for all ages. The fishing is excellent with a well stocked carp lake.

On site facilities include three all-weather tennis courts (one floodlit), a children's adventure playground, football area, croquet, boules, table tennis and an indoor games room including table football & a pool table. Windrush Lake is good for water fun as you can take out your own paddleboard, kayak or canoe. Look out for the plentiful wildlife and wildfowl too.

The Local Area

Isis & Windrush Lakes are well located centrally within the Cotswold Water Park. Nearby, various lakes offer a wide range of watersports and fun activities. There some great local visitor attractions, country pubs, restaurants and lakeside cafe's. Located just over the road is The Gateway Cafe & Bar with an excellent pizza takeaway, the De Vere Cotswolds Hotel has the Boathouse restaurant, bar and luxury spa facilities. The Lakeside Bar & Brasserie on Spring Lake is ideal watch the waterskiing and inflatable rides.

The local village of South Cerney is a short drive away with good local pubs, takeaways and local convenience shops. There are many well marked footpaths, walks and cycle trails that take you through the very heart of the Cotswolds Water Park and nature reserves.
The popular market town of Cirencester, is close by and further afield are many other popular Cotswolds villages and towns.

Disappointing!

Upon walking into the property the hallway wall had dirty marks on it and really could have done with painting. The overall impression of the property was that it was very dated and needed a freshen up. The sofa was very old and very low, we all had trouble getting up from it and we did report this. The photos were very misleading as the property was a lot smaller than we initially were lead to believe. All in all a disappointing stay.

Beautiful lodge set in stunning scenery

The lodge that we stayed in was beautiful. The rooms were spacious and the living area was huge. The kitchen had all utensils and amenities. The location is superb, and looks straight out over the lake. The only negatives really were that the TV didn't work, so we had to ping our YouTube etc from our phones to the TV, and the outdoor BBQ was a little slow to cook but it cooked everything through which is the main thing. Overall, the lodge is lovely and would definitely return with friends again.
