About this property

Eastbourne holiday home for 10+

4 bedroom (plus additional double in communal space), 4 bathoom, close to seafront and town centre. Pet and child friendly.

Sitting just one road back from Eastbourne's beautiful seafront, George's is the ideal base for exploring all the town has to offer, just minutes from the beach, town centre, restaurants and the beautiful South Downs.

George's is a refurbished and extended Victorian terraced house which combines some elegant original features with contemporary modern styling. It is perfect for groups and extended families, as it can sleep up to 12 (plus baby in travel cot). 8 in permanent beds, 2 on a day bed in the games room and 2 on the sofa bed in the family bedroom.

The house was originally a bed and breakfast style guest house in the 1960's. It is arranged over 6 split level floors. There are 4 bedrooms in total, 3 are together on one floor and 1 in the loft conversion. 1 bedroom is a large family bedroom with kingsize bed, a flop out sofa bed (sleeps 2 children) and en suite shower room with toilet. There is one twin room (with 2 single beds) and two other double bedrooms (with double beds). There is a family bathroom in the loft, a family shower room on the ground floor and a further separate toilet on the first floor. Towels and linen are all provided for you, however we'd ask they you bring your own beach towels.

There is a large fully equipped kitchen diner which opens out onto a courtyard garden, perfect for alfresco dining or sitting in the sun enjoying a glass of wine!

To front of the basement has been arranged as a games room complete with table football, board games, toys and games console. Along with the free wifi, everyone should be kept entertained!

The rear of the basement contains the utility room, with washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing board.

There is a large lounge with satellite TV, a selection of books and DVDs for those wanting to relax and unwind.

Well-behaved dogs are most welcome.

Eastbourne is an award-winning seaside town nestling at the foot of the South Downs, an area of natural beauty and crowned as the sunniest spot in the country!

There are many local attractions to keep everyone entertained, whether you are looking to relax on the beach, shop in the independent boutiques or large department stores or go out to eat in one of the many fabulous restaurants. If you are looking for culture, there are four theatres, the Towner art gallery, Redoubt Fortress and seafront Bandstand which has events running all year round. If active pursuits are your thing, you cannot beat this area for walking, cycling and water-sports, including a host of annual events from triathlons to the infamous Centurion Race from Winchester to Eastbourne.

If you want to venture further afield, Eastbourne is the perfect location to explore Hastings or the bright lights of Brighton.

Great house for extended family, 3 showers 4 bathrooms, large kitchen diner and large living room great for relaxing, big group dinner (seats 12). Perfect spot near to beach/prom and can walk into shops. Good quality decor, soaps, towels. Would definitely stay here again and recomend it!

Lovely house in a perfect location one street from the prom. Weather was amazing. There were 8 adults and 5 children but we still had plenty of room. Enjoyed the local restaurants, the Glass House, the Beach Deck. The kitchen was really well equipped and was great to be able to sit outside. Everywhere was clean and the host was quick in responding to queries and left us treats on our arrival!

Reunion heaven

A group of 7 of us stayed in this wonderful house, as part of a 30-year reunion get-together. The house was exactly what we needed, and the large lounge & outdoor seating areas were perfect spots to sit & reminisce with friends. Wonderful stay in a homely, large house in Eastbourne

Thank you Dave for a wonderful stay at your place in Eastbourne! The house is lovely, very clean, and a great size with comfortable rooms, a well set up kitchen and spacious living room. Perfect location for doing the Seven Sisters walk (a shortish walk along the beach to the starting hill). Dave was also so helpful in his communication before we arrived, checking that we were all settled - and even had some chocolates and milk ready for our arrival! I would definitely recommend this place if you’re visiting Eastbourne with a big group ☺️

Absolutely perfect for families!

The owners have literally thought of everything! House was immaculate and as described. Loved the play room, great for the kids! Fab socialising space and enough room for us to eat at the table together. The owners were so friendly and helpful, they let us in early around the kids too! Great location for the beach, pier, pubs, shops and cafes! Soft play and adventure park 5 minute walk away. Just fab fab fab!! We will be back!!

Fantastic base for a big family holiday

This was a great place for our extended families to meet and explore Eastbourne. Dave was really welcoming and communicative, and there were some lovely touches with goodies left for us and a personalised welcome message. The house itself was of a high standard, perfect for our needs with great facilities and big - with plenty of communal spaces for us to spread out and not feel in any way cramped. It's close to town so easy for everyone to walk in as needed and supermarkets a short walk away too. Just perfect. I would happily stay again!

Was absolutely amazing! I booked this house for my husband birthday and the owner of the house leave for us some surprises and decorations and definitely we enjoyed everything.. I dont have enough words to explaining how happy everyone was ... The house is huge, we were with children aged 5, 13, 16 and there was fun for everyone ... And at night this place is very quiet .. Fantastic holiday home!

Wonderful property, very well suited to family gatherings. Plenty of space to all get together and spend fantastic quality time together. We stayed for Christmas and the amazing friendly host Dave, had put up beautiful decorations and really gone the extra mile. We had been left gorgeous treats too, which was such a lovely surprise. It was so nice to celebrate altogether after what has been a very challenging year for our family. We cannot recommend George's highly enough. Thank you Dave for the attention to detail.

Lovely short break in Eastbourne.

We stayed here from Friday to Sunday with 13 of us. The house was a perfect size and we had plenty of space. The children enjoyed to game room. Dave was great and left us a little treat. Unfortunately our electric kept tripping, but Dave responded straight away. Send an electrician around to see what was going on. Unfortunately there was a fault with the dishwasher that couldn’t be fixed. We can’t fault this host at all. The accommodation is beautiful and well layer out. We will def stay here again. Thank you for being a great host and letting us stay in Eastbourne.

60th birthday weekend

We had a great stay. The house and layout was perfect for our needs, with enough bedrooms and bathrooms to meet all requirements, including a top floor bathroom/bedroom combo that suited the family with a baby (enough room for their own travel cot) and was far enough removed not to disturb the baby in the evening. And a basement games room that was the perfect hide out for the younger members of the group. Bedding and towels, bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and good quality. The kitchen was the main gathering and focal point and was well laid out for our gatherings. The house didn't seem to carry noise, so everyone was happy. Close to the seafront and not too far from shops and take aways. Just a couple of initial problems with cleanliness in the kitchen and a shower that didn't work, but these are easily remedied. A great stay - thank you.
