Lakeside Retreat is a lovely 3 bedroom ‘New England' style holiday cottage directly overlooking Spring Lake. It is furnished & equipped to a high standard. The open plan living area leads to a well furnished south facing sun deck with direct lake frontage, gas BBQ, table and chairs.

Sleeping up to 6, 1 x king size double, 1 x double & 1 small twin bedroom and has 2 bathrooms (1 x shower & 1 x bath/shower). The open plan lounge offers a large 42” Smart TV with FreeSat.

Old railway perfect for bike rides

We had a lovely time here, used it as a base for bike rides up to Cirencester, down to Cricklade along the Old Railway path and along the Thames Path with two children. Very convenient location and nice lodge to stay in.

Family get together

We had a great weekend staying at 14 Spring Lake, the house is ideally situated on the edge of the lake where you can watch water sports from the decking and The Lakeside brasserie is a lovely place to go for food and drinks. Everything in the house is of a very high quality and standard including the bedding and towels and the kitchen is equipped with everything you can think of

Lovely weekend getaway

We had a lovely family & friends weekend at Spring Lake 14. The house was clean and tidy on arrival, and the bedrooms were all set up beautifully, and overall the house is well presented. The kitchen is very well equipped, although the fridge was quite small for 6 of us - quite a bit of fridge tetris required. The living room was spacious and the balcony / terrace was excellent with a beautiful view. Unfortunately the weather was not ideal for outdoor dining or using the barbecue, but the facilities were available.

Perfect spot beside Spring Lake

My wife and I took our adult daughter away for a relxing holiday and we weren't dissapointed. The house was delightful, bright and airy and very comfortable in every respect. The house was very well equiped, plenty of storage and comfortable beds and the outside deck beside the lake was a real bonus. We enjoyed watching the water skiers and wild life and the facilities around the other lakes were very good too. We particularily enjoyed a very good Sunday Lunch at the De Vere Boathouse Restaurant and the Waterside Cafe was a great coffee stop, excellent cinnamon buns ! The local area provided us with plenty of places to visit on trips out, Bourton on the Water was lovely, although we were glad we went early, because it got very busy as the day wore on ! Northleach Church was a lucky and interesting find, a very pretty small town on the way to Bourton on the Water. Orion Holidays made everything very smooth and staff were helpful and quick to respond to a query we raised, their information app was very helpful and we used their Discount Card at the Boathouse Restaurant and Waterside Cafe. All in all a very enjoyable holiday for us all.

The main attraction of the lodge is being able to relax on the decking with a cool drink in a beautiful lakeside location and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and watch the wildlife. It is close to water sports, many activities, local attractions and many great country pubs, restaurants, tearooms and cafes in and around the Cotswold Lakes.
With many safe cycle trails and well marked footpaths guests can head out and explore the abundant lakes, canals, nature reserves and rivers nearby, including the Thames. The lodge is a great base to head out and visit Cirencester and enjoy the whole Cotswolds region.
