Benbradagh Country Cottage Delightful

This cottage was our 1st stop on our 1st trip to Ireland from the U.S. and we were delighted with the whole experience and ambiance of the sheep and farm surroundings. We also found it very centrally located for 1 hour day travels to Portrush and Ballycastle for trip to Rathlin Island

Perfect place to stay in N. Ireland

We had a wonderful time at the cottage in Dungiven. The views were beautiful and since it's on a working farm, it's very quiet and serene. We enjoyed seeing the sheep with their lambs resting on the property. Jane left us some delicious treats and all of the accessories that made our stay comfortable. We would love to go back one day!

About the host

Hosted by Jane

Host profile image
Hello, I’m Jane, your host at Benbradagh Country Cottage. I’m from Northern Ireland and feel incredibly lucky to call this beautiful part of the world home. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring the stunning countryside, and appreciating the quiet moments that rural living offers.
Hosting has become something I genuinely love — there’s something special about helping guests discover the North Coast, whether it’s their first visit or they’re returning to a place they already adore. I take pride in creating a warm, welcoming space where people can relax, feel at home, and make memories with the people who matter most.
I enjoy meeting guests from all backgrounds, hearing their stories, and offering tips about the area — from hidden local spots to must‑see attractions like the Causeway Coastal Route, Game of Thrones filming sites, and of course, Royal Portrush Golf Club.
My goal is simple: to make your stay easy, comfortable, and enjoyable from the moment you arrive.
If there’s anything you need, I’m here to help.

Why they chose this property

I chose this area because it truly captures the best of Northern Ireland — peaceful countryside, friendly communities, and some of the most breathtaking scenery you’ll find anywhere along the Causeway Coast. There’s something special about waking up to open fields, the gentle sounds of the countryside, and views that change beautifully with the seasons.
I love how this location gives you the perfect balance of calm rural living with easy access to world‑famous attractions. Within a short drive, you can visit the Giant’s Causeway, wander through dramatic coastal landscapes, explore charming seaside towns, or follow the famous filming trails from Game of Thrones. And of course, having Royal Portrush Golf Club close by is a dream for anyone who loves the game.
What I enjoy most here is the sense of space and stillness — the kind of quiet that lets you slow down, breathe deeply, and really soak in your surroundings. Whether it’s watching cows grazing in the fields, enjoying a walk through the valley, or simply taking in a sunset, this area has a way of grounding you and making you feel at home.
It’s a place that feels both restful and inspiring, and I’m delighted to share that experience with guests.

What makes this property unique

Benbradagh Country Cottage is unique because it offers something truly rare — the perfect blend of peaceful countryside living with effortless access to some of Northern Ireland’s most iconic landmarks. It’s a place where guests can slow down, breathe, and feel completely immersed in nature without ever feeling far from the action.
One of the standout features is our wood‑burning hot tub on the patio, positioned to give you uninterrupted views over open fields, grazing cows, and the beautiful Roe Valley. Lighting the stove, settling into the warm water, and watching the sun dip behind the hills is an experience guests tell us they’ll never forget. It’s cosy, calming, and wonderfully atmospheric in every season.
The cottage itself is full of natural light and country charm, offering comfort and warmth the moment you walk through the door. Surrounded by open space, it feels private and tucked‑away — yet you’re still only a short drive from the Giant’s Causeway, Royal Portrush Golf Club, and Game of Thrones filming locations.
What truly sets us apart is the combination of tranquillity, scenery, personal touches, and location. It’s a place designed for unwinding, reconnecting, and experiencing the North Coast at its most authentic. Whether guests are here for adventure, relaxation, or a bit of both, the cottage delivers something special that stays with them long after they leave.
