About this property

A Country Home in the City of Ann Arbor

A Country Home in the City of Ann Arbor

This charming brick ranch provides about a half acre of play space encircled by trees on almost all sides. There is room to run here if you are looking to play a game of frisbee or catch before the big game at the Big House, which is only 1.5 miles exactly south east of the stadium. Perfect for a fall or spring walk to the game or the spring graduation. You are also less than a mile walk to the Ann Arbor famous Roos Roast Coffee Shop. In addition to delicious, locally roasted coffee, they also have great pastries to top off your morning breakfast. Venue is only a mile away in case of any last minute game day tail gaiting or cooking needs. Venue has it all, including Michigan craft beer and wine as well as a huge bar and restaurant. Across the street is REVEL and ROLL, a Dave and Busters’ like bowling alley complete with the video games on a huge scale for any families looking to have a good time.

Our cozy home has a couch and tv in the basement, and a flat screen tv in the guest room. We have 2 full baths, and four bedrooms which can comfortably sleep eight. Room 1 has a twin; Room 2 offers a twin; Room 3 is the master with queen and lastly the guest room has a pull out queen futon. However, if you want to add more to your party, an air mattress can be provided for the living area or basement. Additionally, there are two couches capable of sleeping 1 each. The bright and airy galley kitchen was recently updated and our dining table seats four. Lastly we have an amazing Irish pub themed bar in the basement, perfect for your party to sit, talk and reminisce about the game or prepare for the game. A speaker is provided to enjoy music to.

Why tailgate anywhere else when our back deck with gas grill and patio furniture will give you that outdoor comfort that you are looking for on game days? Enjoy the fire pit on cool nights while relaxing in the quiet of a property that offers you country charm in a medium sized cosmopolitan city!

Small gatherings acceptable, but house parties are not allowed.

Would definitely stay again. Place had everything we needed, was well kept, clean, plenty of space/beds, and the bar/TV downstairs was great place to chill

Simply perfect
From booking, to details before we arrived, to restaurant recommendations, to the coffee and bubbles provided, to the actual property, everything was perfect. Next time we stay in Ann Arbor we hope to stay here again. Go blue!

Great stay close to the Big House!
We stayed here for the Michigan / Penn State weekend November 1-4, 2018. There were 5 of us, all adult men, and there was plenty of room and beds for the weekend without feeling cramped. Only like a mile or mile and a half walk to the stadium with places (CVS, Lucky's Market, Stadium Liquor, etc.) to stop on the way if you needed anything. Allen, the owner, was great to work with and very responsive to any questions that we had. There's also a brewery, Pileated Brewing, within walking distance, but we didn't know it was there until we were walking back from the stadium so we didn't get a chance to try it out. They do have 2 cats that stay at the house when you are there. One is super friendly and the other we barely saw. So if you are allergic or don't like cats, you may not want to stay here.

Our family has a love of traveling and are big fans of this area. We have been in Ann Arbor for over 15 year years and see it as our one and only home. Our kids love it here and so do we.

Why they chose this property

This is a unique property that has 1 full acre to relax in and enjoy nature. The entire street has one acre for each property making it seem more rural than one would expect. We have new appliances and four 4 bedrooms capable of sleeping 7-8 and two couches that can handle two more sleepers if extra space is needed. This house also has a touch pad to access the front door very easily. Our basement has a bar and living are capable of handling a good number of guests. If your party is bigger this will come in handy! Newer appliances make it feel more modern with a touch of rustic when you see the basement.

What makes this property unique

As mentioned it is situated 1.5 miles from the UM football stadium as well as the basketball venue. Grocery stores nearby (Kroger) as well as local market stores give you many options to shop from. If you are here for the big game, it is an easy 1.5 mile walk with restaurants to stop along the way. This includes a large bowling alley with a huge arcade for the kids. If you are feeling like being outdoors for the game is you thing, we also have a camper that you can plug into the house and watch the game under the camper awning.
