This property has very few reviews, but was one of the only ones left so we went for it anyway. Now I have a better idea why.On a map it looks like it’s in Varenna, but it’s isolated up the cliff side. Is technically in Perledo, but not near the actual town center. You’re stuck up there, and the 8 taxi phone #s I was given did not respond. It’s difficult to get out of your place, and rush to go to Varenna not knowing how you’ll get back up the cliff (walking down is manageable, up is highly difficult)When we entered there was bug spray on the table, not a good sign, there were ants and spiders everywhere and it was impossible to have food outside the fridge because of ants. We all got significant bug bites while sleepingThere was a consistent terrible smell from the bathroom that we couldn’t figure out or stop. We decided to close it in so it was confined there but that made any time in there really bad. The worst part was the lack of Internet. They technically had it, but it was like a 1 webpage every 10 minutes type speed, and streaming shows was not possible. There also wasn’t service there as an alternate. It was highly frustratingI will say their staff was highly communicative and helpful, storing bags in the office was nice. Just the place itself was not up to par
