Spacious Tuscany Country House Near Sea | 2BR, 2BA, Large Garden, AC - Tower

La Casa Toscana is a beautifully restored 18th century Tuscan country house located on ‘The Wine Road’ between Castagneto Carducci and Bolgheri.
The property has two levels:
- the bottom, where my family lives and where I teach my cooking classes.
- the top, where TWO spacious apartments, with independent entrance and equipped with AIR CONDITIONING, are rented for holidays.

APARTMENT TORRE is located on the upper level of La Casa Toscana and it’s great for two couples or families with up to 3 kids, as there are two large bedrooms where is possible to add an extra bed.
The apartment is 90 mq (970 square feet) with a big living room 25 mq (270 square feet), a well equipped kitchen and 2 spacious bed rooms. The apartment is furnished with our family’s antique pieces to give you the same personal feeling that we have in our own home. The apartment overlooks the medieval tower and the Tuscan countryside ending into the Mediterranean sea.
Air conditioning and wifi connection are provided for free.

THE PROPERTY: The property is dominated by the medieval village of Castagneto Carducci famous for top class vineyards, rolling hills and incredible cycling roads. It’s a perfect position for a holiday: several sandy beaches few minutes drive away, cypress-lined cycling routes, tiny villages nestled between the sea and the hills. Everything is very close even though we are in the countryside and the property is ideal for a family vacation, relaxing or an active holiday!

THE GARDEN: The property is surrounded by one hectare (1/4 acre) garden with an olive orchard, fruit trees, fresh herbs and typical plants of the Mediterranean. The garden is equipped with dining tables and chairs. In several strategic points around the garden, comfortable sitting areas have been arranged, equipped with deckchairs and armchairs, perfect for simply relaxing in complete peace and quiet. It is the ideal place to spend many magic moments with your family or friends. For fun, visit our recreational area where we have a bocce ball court and a foosball table equipped with outdoor lighting. Adults and children alike will enjoy this area and our large back lawn where all can play with our three friendly cats and loving dog. There is a parking place in the shade, very comfortable when it is hot.

THE BEACH: The beach is only 7 km away. It’s also possible to ride your bicycle to the beach through very safe small country roads.

THE AREA: The village of Castagneto is reachable in twenty minutes walking from the house or 5 min driving. This quiet and charming village offers all the services (pharmacy, bank with ATM, etc.) and little restaurants to taste a delicious bruschetta served with a glass of wine from a local producer.

Donoratico, 4 km from the property, offers big supermarkets, all kind of shops and the railway station to get to the main cities (Rome, Pisa, Florence, etc.). Siena, Pisa, Florence, Volterra, San Gimignano and many other beautiful destinations are about 1-2 hours away by car, perfect for a day trip. There are few sandy beaches, and our favorite is very safe for children with shallow water for many meters.

Bolgheri, 8 km from the property, is an enchanting hamlet with bars and restaurants, for your morning coffee or special dinners.

THE WINE: We live in a wine region where some of the most famous Super Tuscan wines are produced just few km from our property. We can help you to organize a visit to world-class vineyards and cellars, learn about the prestigious Bolgheri DOC region and enjoy superb wines.

MY FAMILY: We live at the bottom level of the farmhouse and I teach Italian cooking classes. My husband lives between Chamonix and Tuscany, and he is always ready to give you all the information to enjoy the area. We are passionate cyclists, and this area is famous for cycling. We can help you to find the perfect roads!

COOKING CLASSES: We would love you and your party to join one of our cooking classes. Our classes are completely hands-on, where you will be involved in every stage, making everything from scratch and having a great introduction to Italian culinary traditions and cuisine.
