About this property
Little Bramble, Orford
As you arrive at this exceptionally chic retreat on the edge of the pretty village Orford you know you’re in a for a memorable holiday or short break whatever the weather, with double doors for indoor/outdoor living and a cosy wood burner when the nights draw in.
NEW FOR 2023, interiors are beautifully designed, furnished and equipped. The stylish open plan living space has a well-equipped kitchen for catering at home; a handsome dining table with six chairs so you can entertain friends/family
This holiday home is on one level, however there is a step up to the front deck and standard width doors, making it suitable for guests with a mobility problem but not wheelchair friendly. The living/kitchen/dining room runs along the front with a corridor past the shower room to the bedroom at the back. There’s hard flooring with rugs in the living space and shower room and sisal in the bedroom.
OPEN PLAN LIVING ROOM
You’re welcomed directly into this wonderfully sociable space. The kitchen wraps around one side of the room, housing an electric oven with a separate grill, four ring hob and extractor, a fridge with three shelves and a vegetable drawer, a three-drawer freezer, and a washer/dryer; plus the essential kettle and toaster. In addition to the L shaped worktop there’s a butcher’s block.
If you have friends or family in the area you have space to entertain them at the dining table and double doors to the patio at the side make it easy to enjoy al fresco dining.
A generous sofa dominates the seating area, positioned so you can make the most of the warmth from the wood burner and watch the TV.
A short passage with hooks for your coats, takes you past the shower room to the bedroom
BEDROOM
Wake to a view of the fields in this quiet bedroom sitting at the back of the property and simply open the sliding doors to enjoy your morning coffee outside. The super king size bed sits between bedside tables with lamps and there’s ample storage with drawers and hanging room in the wardrobe so you can unpack and settle in, plus some shelves well stacked with books for you to choose from.
SHOWER/WET ROOM
This chic colourful shower room is fully tiled and fitted with a large shower cubicle with a rain shower head and a hand-held wand, a WC, a wash basin, a towel rail (towels provided) and natural light.
OUTSIDE
Little Bramble sits in a secluded spot next to the owners’ house but screened by shrubs and trees with its own drive and parking for two cars at the front. You’re sure to enjoy sitting on the deck which runs along the front of the holiday home, and there’s a private patio at the side with an outdoor dining table and six chairs. Orford is a true historical gem, arguably one of the prettiest villages on the Suffolk Coast. From its castle, pretty cottages and welcoming pubs to the picturesque quay offering river cruises; the home of Pinney's delicious smoked fish and the Pump Street bakery - an ideal place to while away a happy day or two!
One well behaved small/medium dog is allowed to stay but please do not let it on the furniture and be sure to clean up after them around the garden and patio
