This has got to be one of the best locations in France for a family holiday. The apartment is 5 minutes walk from a superb beach and overlooks a beautiful lagoon, with the Pyrenees and Mt Canigou in the near distance. There is something for everyone to do in the close vicinity from the bustling port of St Cyprien to the famous abbey at Elne. Visits to nearby Collioure and Port Vendres are highly recommended whilst there is plenty of fun for all at Aqualand (walking distance), the adventure park at Argeles, go -karting and horse riding. Further afield, a visit to Dali's museum in Figueres, Spain is inspiring, as are the Cathar castles to the north west of Perpignan. The abbeys of St Michel's de Cuxa and St Martin's of the Canigou in the Tet valley are set against the backdrop of the Pyrenees and the whole area is vibrant with Catalan colour, culture and food. Visit the many local markets, especially Ceret on a Saturday morning and enjoy the many wine-tasting opportunities.

Manque de prĂ©cision de l’annonce

Point positif. L’hĂŽte Sharon est trĂšs sympathique et facilement joignable. Nous n’avons pas reçu les clĂ©s Ă  temps (envoi par courrier). Nous avons donc dĂ» compter sur une voisine pour nous fournir la clĂ©. Au passage point positif pour le voisinage qui est trĂšs chaleureux. Beaucoup de propriĂ©taire dans l immeuble tous trĂšs avenants et sympas. La piscine se situe Ă  l arriĂšre de l immeuble d en face. Ce qui n Ă©tait pas dans l’annonce. Avec un bĂ©bĂ© le babyphone ne capte donc pas jusque lĂ . Le centre ville est trop loin a pieds il faut donc s y rendre en voiture. La literie est catastrophique, le matelas est complĂ©ment gondolĂ©. Il faut le remplacer sans tarder ! La tĂ©lĂ©commande pour ouvrir la grille du parking est elle aussi dĂ©faillante. Nous avons reçu un tournevis des voisins et avons changĂ© les piles mais rien Ă  faire. Nous sommes restĂ©s bloquĂ©s plusieurs fois Ă  l extĂ©rieur du parking oĂč nous Ă©tions coincĂ© Ă  l intĂ©rieur en attendant qu un voisin puisse nous voir et nous ouvre gentiment. Il faut Ă©galement absolument la remplacer. Les photos de l’annonce montre les deux appartements ce qui posent problĂšme car on ne voit pas exactement oĂč nous allons ĂȘtre. Par exemple en ce qui concerne la vue, nous Ă©tions au premier Ă©tage et la vue ne corresponds donc pas au photo. Dans l’ensemble bon sĂ©jour mais nous regrettons le manque de prĂ©cision de l’annonce pour la distance avec le centre ville et l accĂšs Ă  la piscine ainsi que le manque de qualitĂ© de la literie et la dĂ©faillance de la tĂ©lĂ©commande du parking.

bel appartement sans wifi avec cuisine sous équipée

appartement spacieux pas de wifi ( contrairement à annoncé ) frigo : impossible d'avoir 4°c à 6°c mais 8°à 9°c (malgré thermostat au maxi ) ( incompatible à la conservation de viandes et yaourts ) plaque de cuisson trÚs vétuste : chauffe insuffisamment pour cuisiner. mini four trÚs vétuste ( n'avons pas risqué de l'utiliser ) un four à micro-ondes serait plus utile en vacances porte d'entrée : manque la charniÚre supérieure !!! 3 charniÚre sur 4 = danger de chute de la porte compte tenu de son poids !!!

Clean accommodation with good beach location and swimming pool access.

Great location - 5 min walk to large unspoilt beach, quieter and less touristy than I was expecting for the Mediterranean coast. Shop selling most essentials, including fresh bread and croissant also a short walk. Eating out options within walking distance so no need to argue about who will drive! A longer walk (few km) along the lagoon to the port provides a busier French seaside town (more touristy) - you'll be able to find the classic seaside moules frites. Plenty of day trip options locally too. Apartment simply but adequately equipped - clean, well looked after, balcony with lagoon view provides outside eating space.

Apartment is very nice and clean, situation is perfect, close to the swimming pool and the beach. Communication with the owner is fast, and she managed well any questions and requests. Holidays there were great !

Fantastic apartment, everything You need and more and great veiws

The pictures for this apartment don't do it justice, very well equipt, very clean and tidy. Beautiful view of the lake, and a very short walk from a gorgeous sandy beach. A short walk from a shop which is also a bakery and sells cooked chicken and chips for the evening, and a little beach bar which I wouldn't recommend for food, undercooked meat and over priced, but lovely for a drink any time of day. A very safe resort, quiet and clean, we went with our 3 boys 10,8&5 and they can't wait to go back, very relaxing great weather

I am an avid francophile and love this area with its proud Catalan heritage. The mountains and the sea have always been a big pull for me and here we have the magnificent Canigou in the background and the gorgeous Mediterranean. I have hiked up the Canigou many times. You get a 4x4 taxi jeep which takes you up the the refuge, Cortalets. From there it is about 2/3 hours to the summit. Don't rush, take in the views. Collioure, Port Vendres, Banylus, Ceret, are favourite destinations and I really recommend the Dali Museum in Figueres, over the border. I love exploring the many beautiful abbeys in the region but if you were to ask my family, they would say 'get on that beach'!

Why they chose this property

This apartment is ideally suited for the beautiful beach and, with its superb views of the lagoon, the terrace is the perfect place to relax after a day out.
It also works for a larger group as by booking together with Les Sables 2, which is located on the above floor, you have the possibility of two families holidaying together but maintaining some private family time.
