This property has NO history of slavery as it was built in 1949!! Walk along the brick path under the maple tree to step up to the front porch and you will feel like you have gone back in time. Decorated with an Old World style with timeless pieces from all over the world. Whatever your taste, you will feel at home in this beautiful and historic area of town. Located in the HEART of EVERYTHING, you will have easy access to all of Nashville's hot spots. This home is not just a VRBO, but a hospitality experience in a comfortable, open and private luscious setting.
I am very excited about sharing my home with you on VRBO. As you can see it is Southern Charm that meets Old World Hospitality. I have traveled extensively, having worked for Delta Air Lines for 13+ years, and acquired a taste for European and Old World comfort and warmth.
Presently I am a realtor (and would be glad to help you in that arena in any way) and have lived in my home here 30 years. I have 4 grown children, who were raised here and they loved the yard, the creek, and of course their home. We also love Nashville and feel very blessed to have lived in this location for so long. I love flea markets and antique shops and treasure finding old, eclectic, and unique pieces that you will see scattered about.
My home is 4BR/4BA and the rooms are large. If your party is smaller and needs less space, I am not opposed to renting just the downstairs which is 2BR/2BA so please don't pass my home by if this helps you.
As you will find out if you don't already know, we are close to "everything". Downtown (8min), the airport (12min), Vanderbilt (7-8min), Belmont Univ (5-6 min), Lipscomb Univ (3-4min), the trendy 12th South Area (5-6 min), Green Hills (4-5 min) which includes The Green Hills Mall (the nicest mall in TN), Trader Joe's (my favorite), The Hill Center which has high end shops, Whole Foods, and many eateries. Please note that these times are WITHOUT traffic.
I do hope you will have fun in Nashville and your time in my home will be a memorable experience and not just a place to sleep. Come back soon.

We rented this for a girls’ weekend. Short drive to everything we wanted to do and plenty of space to spread out and enjoy time together. Great communication with owner. We would come back!

Julie and her friends were lovely. Very friendly and appreciative. They liked my taste in my furnishings and very complimentary. I told them To come back anytime.
The owner was very accommodating. She was willing to let us check in early. This house is in a beautiful neighborhood. Perfect for anyone wanting to avoid the mayhem of downtown Nashville on the weekend.

Disliked: Cleanliness
House was historic and full of knickknacks, but comfortable and easy to adjust thermostat. Steep driveway, so come in at an angle. Kitchen well stocked, a big dining table that fit everyone, and nice yard for kids to play. Comfortable beds and rooms, two beds are in area between bedrooms, so no door. Kids weren’t fans of dead bugs inside bedsheets in upstairs bedrooms when we arrived.

Weekend stay in Nashville
The house was Charming and Maria the owner was very helpful in every aspect and every way. The bedrooms and bathrooms very nice and comfortable however the kitchen and living room needs some updating as it was very outdated. The owner tries to do everything she can but I think it would be wise if she were to hire a cleaning service to help her out.

Robert and his crew of 10 communicated with me very well. I was a little concerned for this group of all guys but Robert rightfully alleviated my worries. And he was right. They followed my checkout instructions perfectly and left my home in perfect order. I would definitely rent to them again. They were gentleman and seemed to like my home for their stay. Please come again.

Great stay!
The home is beautiful and offered plenty of room for our family. The location is also great...easy access to many areas of the city but you truly feel like you are out in a rural area as the neighbors are not close and there is a wooded area behind the home. Saturday morning we awoke to three deer lying in the back yard. Our grandchildren loved seeing them.
Maria is very sweet and accommodating. Her home is fully equipped especially the kitchen as we cooked breakfast each morning.
Thank you Maria...we hope to be back!

Charming House, but it is Owners Primary Residence
Unique home in a great location. Owner was very kind and helpful. Just be aware that this is her primary residence. The listing says that, but I don’t think I really understood that there would be no dresser, closet, or surface space. We lived out of our suitcases on the floor because owners belongings were everywhere. House is also for sale.
The owner is an extremely nice lady, but when we got ready to go to bed every bed was dirty. They had hair, lipstick, and makeup, in them. One comforter had stains that appeared to be urine stain. We tried to contact her. (This was around 11:30 pm) and got no response untill around 9:00 am the next morning. We spent 3 hours washing the beding so that we would be able to go to bed. And she charges a good cleaning fee. I would not recommend this property. Her exact response was "Oh my... I don't even know how to respond"
she did not know how to respond to our dirty linens. I would not recommend this place.
Perfect home in quiet neighborhood for a mini family reunion
What a fabulous property for my two sisters and 4 nieces to enjoy reuniting after 6 years and run the Nashville half marathon. Maria is such a lovely hostess! Her home is beautiful and comfortable. Pre-race dinner on the back patio was divine. So much laughter as we played cards at the large dining room table on race day evening to celebrate everyone’s success. Bed so comfy; bathrooms were clean and spacious. A quiet neighborhood, a gracious hostess and a fabulous kitchen to share meals with family.
What more could one ask! I will be renting from Maria again if she will have me!
Maria was fantastic! She allowed us into her home on very short notice after a VRBO catastrophe with a prior paid reservation. The home was very spacious for our group of 8. 4 bedrooms, each with their own bath.
Out in the woods, very quiet! Definitely not of modern decor, but very homelike feel. Being her everyday home, she still allowed us to use her appliances, cookware, and refrigerator. Explained everything in great detail and with behind check-out procedures so we didn't miss anything. Great communicator and would stay there again if we ever come back to town. Thank you again Maria! 😊
Six college fraternity brothers were in Nashville for a football game. The property was nicely decorated and had plenty of room for the six of us to comfortably sleep. The back patio was a special treat as we spend most our time out there. The owners/hostess was extremely helpful and met us when we arrived to show us around.
Enjoyed our family gathering at this lovely property. Peaceful, welcoming, well appointed. Convenient to everything Nashville, but still with privacy. Beware the narrow, steep driveway though!
The was a wonderful property in a beautiful location. It was conveniently located to downtown but felt as if you were out of the city. Maria was a perfect host and we appreciate her sharing her home.

We were in Nashville for our daughter’s wedding. It was such a world wind of activities and commitments. It was such a pleasure to have our house for some quiet time. The location was wonderful! We enjoyed our time.

Wonderful charming home to gather with family. Dining room and living room were open and conducive to visiting in a relaxed, cozy environment. The backyard was open and pastural with deer in the morning! Bedding was comfortable and all agreed they had a good night’s rest. One benefit not stressed was that there was a separate thermostat for the upper bedrooms and another for the downstairs so everyone was comfortable. Extensive art work and nicknacks throughout house so I wouldn’t recommend for very young children but my 9 year grandchild was no problem! Finally, there were no sidewalks on this street so be prepared to drive but we quickly adapted by enjoying the large back yard and being centrally located so downtown Nashville was easy to get to. Set back from the road made for a relaxing and quiet week.
Maria was very accommodating and made us feel so welcomed. She even had wine and cheese for our arrival. The neighborhood is gorgeous and safe. We loved our stay!

Such sweet guests, could not have been nicer. They were very communicative with me about their arrival, during their stay, and their departure. I enjoyed meeting their daughter who is in college around the corner from me. Her father also helped me with a problem on a smoke alarm which was so kind and he was so very nice about it. Precious family I hope they come again !!!
Maria was wonderful and easy to communicate with. The house and neighborhood was beautiful. Grocery stores nearby, and downtown was a short uber ride away.
We had a great time in Maria’s house. We were in town for a family wedding and this provided a great base of operations for a batch of us. Maria was an ideal host, greeting us in person and leaving treats for us (including an amazing Trader Joe’s coffee cake that I would eat every day if had access, so thank goodness I don’t). There’s a lot of space in the house and yard, providing lots of room for people to break out into smaller group conversations. She has clearly put her heart into decorating this unique home and it shows; everyone admired it. The beds and bathrooms were sparkling clean and my mattress was very comfy (did not test the others but heard no complaints.). Minor complaints: There was some dust in the common areas, probably inevitable with this much stuff; drawers and wardrobes were mostly full, so not much room for our things; parking is very limited (about which Maria forewarned me). Major kudos: great location, minutes from 12 South and Green Hills Mall (and Trader Joe’s, we made several trips) yet the house sits in the middle of a huge yard so you’d think you were out in the country; beautiful neighborhood; amazing porches; beautiful yard; feels like a home, not a sterile hotel. I would return in a heartbeat, thank you!

David and his guys were great. I met one of them upon check in and he was very thoughtful and helpful as he arrived early and I was not quite ready. He even took some trash to the road for me when I had not even asked. They followed all my check out rules and respected my home. Thank you and please come again.
