Great cottage if you need one bed

Very clean and well run, the neighborhood is very quite, and the cottage is perfect for anyone needing a 1 bed accommodation. The bedroom and living room are spacious, the kitchen is minimal but adequate for simple meals.

Amazing experience!

The location was perfect, not too far from the city but also far enough to be secluded. The views were our favorite part, we loved seeing the mountains! The property and inside was clean and wonderful. They even plowed the snow every morning that it snowed! The neighborhood is also very peaceful. We enjoyed our stay very much, we did not want to go home!

Visiting from NJ for a wedding

My husband and I traveled from NJ to Leavenworth for a wedding. Quail Cottage was the perfect little place to stay. We loved sitting on the backyard patio. 5 minutes from downtown shops and restaurants, and right down the road from a beautiful hiking trail. We would definitely recommend.

This place was beyond our expectations. Beautiful, quiet neighborhood. The house was very spacious and not one detail left out. We were even left an Anniversary card and sparking cider. Would definitely stay again. Extra clean!!!

Wonderful Stay

Check in and check out process very easy. Good amount of instructions in the house on how to use eveything which was very nice. Extremely clean, nice quality furniture, it had just what we needed for 4 nights. Made quick breakfasts in the kitchenette, went out for most lunch and dinners The immediate neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, much better than staying in downtown Leavenworth with all the lively nightlife. Great to experience it, but happy to come home to a calm retreat. Would absolutely stay here again! Thanks for your hospitality!

Pristine Getaway

A lovely cottage on a quiet street near Icicle Creek. Quiet setting, a chorus of birds at dawn. Everything in the house very convenient, with the exception of the instructions on how to use the stove top. The print was so small, I had to take a screen shot of it and enlarge it. Wood stove was lovely, many amenities. Just make the print larger on the stove top instructions, please!

Nice house but noisy.

Clean house, nice location but NOISY and not relaxing!! The irrigation system ran 2.5 hours each evening ran by a very NOISY pump next to living room! I called and left message with after hours line for management company, no response ever! The owners live next door, rang doorbell, no answer. We stayed 3 nights here during a 17 day trip of touring the state of WA. One day we drove to Chelan and took a boat trip to Stehekin. We planned one day to be a relaxing day in the area and at the home - could not be in the living room any evening between 5-7:30 pm because of the loud pump that ran the irrigation system.... which by the way prepare for your car to be sprayed with water also!

Unfortunately we did NOT hear from this guest at all during their stay. We thoroughly reviewed our phone logs, voicemails (we store for at least 1 year), emails and VRBO messages and have nothing at all from the guest. We would have gladly tried to change the sprinkler times to accommodate. We pride ourselves on having someone on call 24 hrs a day whenever guests are staying with us and promptly take care of any guest issues.

Great basecamp for summer activities in the Leavenworth area.

My adult son and I came here for a couple "get-away" nights from the lock down of Covid-19. We hadn't been out on an overnight trip since the pandemic began. This was a very comfortable place to begin. It's proximity to town was convenient, if we needed anything, but it was far enough away to feel isolated. And even though the nearest neighbor is less than 100' away, there is a great feeling of space because of the size of the properties. We tried to bring everything we needed with us so we wouldn't need to go into town, but we did decide to go to the store once and brave the crowds. It was a lot like what we experience back home. The space feels big and roomy, and the patio is wonderful! It looks out over a green space towards the mountains. It also has a propane grill so we cooked and ate dinner out there one evening, and then laid in the yard for some prime star gazing. There is a small kitchen inside that has a 2 burner stove top and a microwave, but it shares what looks like a utility closet with a stacked washer / dryer, so there's not much room to maneuver. The one bed is very comfortable but my son didn't like the sofa bed. There's plenty of room for an additional airbed or 2 if needed. And the bathroom can only be accessed through the room with the bed so your likely to have visitors passing by thru the night. There are lots of trails nearby, of all ranges of difficulty. We did the wonderful Icicle Canyon Gorge trail, an easy 5 mile loop that's a 20 minute drive away. And there is ample parking at the trail head. And, when you return from your day of activities, you can go for a refreshing swim in the river which is a short 10 min walk from the cottage. It can get pretty hot (106* upon our arrival) in the late summer so the river is a welcome option. But the cottage does have AC as well. We highly recommend The Quail Cottage!

10 / 10. We absolutely loved our stay. Here’s what you should know… The cottage is VERY clean. The mountains surround you. The town is close, yet far enough away (8 minutes). Hiking and rivers are walking distance. Last and most importantly (for us), the host family might very well be the kindest people we have met. All around a wonderful, peaceful getaway from big city life. Highly recommend.

Comfy and cozy hikers paradise in the amazing Enchantment Mountains

Everything was clean and well maintained. The property owners were so kind and helpful. I enjoyed visiting with them and getting great local tips. They have a very peaceful property with beautiful mountain views to enjoy. This is a great location. Close to the town, and to the multiple trail heads near by. My wife and I hiked Colchuck Lake which is a must see for any other hikers visiting the area. I feel very lucky to have found such a nice place to stay in Leavenworth on such a short notice. I would gladly stay here again.

Winter weekend at Quail Cottage

We had a great winter weekend at Quail Cottage. Nice getaway which we booked spontaneously. The house is in great condition, located in Leavenworth in a beautiful setting with mountain views and close 8 minute walk) to the Icicle River. Tourist activities in Leavenworth a a short drive away (+/- 3 miles). This is a great property to plan activities in and around Leavenworth, everything is within reach. The house is well equipped with a small wood fired oven and a nice exterior terrace. The kitchen (also newly furnished and equipped) is a bit small / crammed for meal preparation could be larger. We will keep this property on our favorites list for future excursions into the mountains in and around Leavenworth

We’ve been to Leavenworth several times now but haven’t stayed in a place so nice. Michelle was great to work with. Fantastic location and close to everything. The views are incredible!
