About this property

Cozy Island Cottage, centrally located in the Heart of the Village

Cozy Cottage, perfect for couples or small families. Short walk away from the inlet and all the shops and restaurants surrounding. This is a 350 sq ft cottage. This beautiful bungalow is completed with a queen size bed, a full bathroom, a large outside shower, tv, internet, kitchenette with large dorm sized refrigerator and freezer, small kitchen sink, and hot plate with pots and pans. Recently renovated because of Hurricane Dorian, we have also added an outside shower to a list of the amenities, and If you are looking to escape and enjoy the freedom from the hustle and bustle of day to day life, this is your perfect island paradise. Don't forget the dogs! Dogs are allowed for a small additional fee.
Please leave the cottage better than you found it! We do not provide linens, towels, or paper products. This is my personal cottage, so please respect it as if it were your grandmothers :). Check in is at 2pm, Check out is 11am. If you have any specific request don’t hesitate to ask, I promise you I’m a friendly fellow. There are golf carts available at the house one is dedicated for guest use. Information on how rent are in the house.

This cozy cottage reminded me of a surf shack…all the essentials, no muss no fuss! Perfect for solo travelers as well as a couple. Nice deck out front, indoor and outdoor showers. Parking was easy and check in was smooth. Far enough into the village that traffic noise was nonexistent but walking distance to everything. 10/10

The property was great, it was the perfect size for 2 people! Highly recommend renting your golf cart straight through Russ, he is the nicest guy and it was really convenient since he had it ready to go when we got there!! His golf carts are also really well maintained!

This was a great location, clean space and a great spot for pets. Everything was wonderful! The private yard was nice and not something you always get with rentals in ocracoke! Can’t wait to stay here again.

Thank you so much for hosting our visit in Ocracoke, we really enjoyed it! The only thing I could add would be that I feel like a non slip rug should be placed outside the door of the bathroom. The floor is very slick and I fell upon crossing the doorway of the restroom. Other than that, we had a very nice time, thanks again!!

This little house was perfect for what we needed. Great location and easy check-in and check-out. The gated porch was a highlight and allowed us to enjoy the mornings out there with our dog and a cup of coffee.

We enjoyed our stay in this cozy cottage. It had everything we needed for our stay…..nice kitchenette, comfortable bed, nice bathroom and shower, cozy sitting area, and nice tvs. So nicely decorated and in walking distance to everything in Ocracoke village. Has a spacious porch and is pet friendly. Would definitely stay there again.

My wife and I arrived in the evening after a long trip. We were looking forward to enjoying a glass of wine on the deck. To my surprise, there wasn't a wine opener. Also, there were no wine glasses. In fact, there wasn't a single glass of any kind in the entire house. As for dishes, there were only two plates and one cereal bowl. That was it. When I was renting the golf cart, I mentioned to Russ, who handles the cart rental, that we were headed to town to buy some dishes and glasses. Russ mentioned it to his wife who apparently took pity on us and graciously dropped off a place setting for two.The bathroom doors roll back and forth on barn door type rollers. When my wife tried to open one of the doors, it fell off the track on top of her. I took the time to reinstall the door correctly.There are no chairs in the house. There is a sofa, which we kept covered with a blanket. There are two deck chairs on the deck, but if four people are staying or visiting, two are going to stand.When we were leaving, I looked under the bed to make sure we didn't leave anything. The amount of dog hair under the bed blew me away. It was disgraceful.This place has a lot of potential, unfortunately, I feel it has been neglected by the absentee owner.As for the Ocracoke area, it is fabulous.
