Quiet and quaint

We spent four nights and fell in love with the place. Everything was provided as described. The cottage is just a few minutes drive from the marinas and old town, and was quiet and comfortable. David responded quickly when we had a question. I would definitely recommend this place.

One of a kind & extraordinary!

We call this the Hobbit House. Super cute and impeccable workmanship with lots of creativity. This was a labor of love to build to such level. The host is also as good as it gets- kind and generous. Don’t hesitate- this is the best place to stay- next to Lagos and still away from the crowds.

Casinha de Quinteiro was exactly as described and as it appears in pictures. David and Flórida were brilliant hosts who gave us a fantastic welcome. The casinha was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The garden is excellent; completely private and beautifully maintained, and my husband and I enjoyed spending lazy, quiet days relaxing on the sunbeds or in the hammock. It's close enough to Lagos to enjoy meals at the many restaurants or spend time at one of the beaches, but also well connected to a main road to explore the rest of the Algarve by car if you would like. I would not hesitate to recommend this wonderful and unique accommodation to anyone looking for a quiet stay in the Algarve.

Wir fühlten uns rundum in der Unterkunft wohl. Einfache, zweckmässige Ausstattung hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Sehr sauber, nach 5 Tagen Tausch von Handtüchern und Bettwäsche. Starkbefahrene Strasse in ca. 400 Metern hörbar.

Das Haus ist liebevoll, mit viel Geschmack und sehr zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Man spürt die solide Handarbeit des Erbauers und Besitzers. David war in allen Fragen sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend. Ein schöner Ort, um den westlichen Teil der Algarve kennenzulernen. Manchmal erreichen Autogeräusche von der N 125 das Grundstück. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Great for a first time in Algarve

Charming guest house, well-equipped, with a good quality for its value, and more importantly, ideally placed to travel and discover all the west of Algarve. This is one of those very special places that I really don't want to let people know about. So very close to everything and yet so secluded. The only thing I would change is the BBQ, that one is on its last legs. Next time it'll be for two weeks. Cheers.

a small paradise

this beautiful place is a gem. We spent wonderful days there and everything was perfect. Eine grüne Oase, mit einer einzigartigen Wohnung!

Der Bungalow ist eine kleine Wohlfühl - Oase. Er hat viele kleine tolle Details, sehr sauber und bietet alles was man braucht. Der Außenbereich ist abgeschirmt, sehr gepflegt und bietet sogar eine eigene kleine Terrasse für den Sonnenuntergang. Absolut empfehlenswert MfG Silke und Hagen

Todos os comentários que li acerca da propriedade correspondiam na perfeição. Casinha tirada de um conto de fadas, de madeira, mas muito bem construída. Tem tudo o que é necessário para uma estadia muito agradável, longe da confusão, mas ao mesmo tempo a poucos km da praia. O David é muito prestável, e fez tudo para que nos sentissemos em casa.

Der Vermieter David war sehr hilfsbereit und immer zur Stelle. Was wir bemängeln möchten, daß die Sitzgelegenheiten auf der Terasse sehr spärlich waren. Es gab nur eine Holzbank ohne Auflagen oder die Möglichkeit sich anzulehnen. Auch die Plastiksonnenliegen waren ohne Auflagen. Wenn man längere Zeit sitzt ist dies sehr unbequem. Ansonsten war das Haus mit allem ausgestattet.

Nous avons particulièrement apprécié notre séjour dans ce logement atypique , un peu à l’ecart de Lagos mais à quelques minutes en voiture de la ville et d’un centre commercial Le logement possède tout le confort possible et est situé sur un jardin très bien entretenu et fleuri Les propriétaires ont été présents et discrets , ce qui nous convenait parfaitement A conseiller les yeux fermés

Ein großartiger Urlaub an einem wirklich besonderen Ort

Das Haus von David ist wirklich aussergewöhnlich und hat eine tolle Atmosphäre. Gerade mit kleinen Kindern ist der abgeschlossene Bereich um den schön gestalteten Garten sehr entspannend, da man nicht ständig ein Auge auf die Kleinen haben muss. Das Haus selber ist genau so schön, wie man es auf den Bildern erahnen kann. Mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet lebt man in einer unteren Ebene mit Küchenzeile und abgetrennten Bad und kann sich zum Sonnenuntergang aufs Bett legen und sich die Sonne ins Gesicht scheinen lassen. Das Thema Licht spielt in diesem Haus eh eine aussergewöhnliche Rolle, da die obere Etage unter dem Dach ein tolles Lichtspiel am morgen bietet ... 100% Weiterempfehlung! @David: Thank you for the great time at your house, your tips around Lagos and the interesting chats with you ... See you definetly again!
