Had a fantastic weekend at Apple Pippin, the garden was enclosed so perfect for our dog. Really clean, nice space and was perfect for our weekend away!
A very lovely stay in a great caravan, the van was fantastic newly refurbished and very comfortable with the added touches were great will definitely be returning again. Zoe and the team were very friendly and helpful thankyou for a lovely stay
The caravan was a great base for the 2 of us to explore Hartland. The caravan was very well equipped and clean. The host was on hand if needed and very helpful. There were plenty of places to eat locally and beaches a short drive away. Would stay again
Regretfully we must say “No” as to whether we enjoyed our stay at Hartland
Once we arrived on site, we were informed that a Marque had been erected to cater for a wedding celebration and did not bode well.
Not wishing to drive a further 260 odd miles back to Kent or endeavour to obtain suitable additional accommodation we were assured that noise would be kept at an acceptable level, which I’m afraid the organisers failed miserably at.
We accepted your explanation that it was the first time you had proffered such facilities, but the anticipated peace and tranquillity of such a beautiful area was destroyed well into the early hours of Saturday morning, 1:15 hrs to be precise. The local industrial works during their work hours overall were quieter than the disco bass sound emitted from ‘the party’.
It was made clear before we accepted the booking that we had 2 well behaved West Highland Terriers pets and primary reason for acceptance was the security fencing surrounding the accommodation. Unfortunately, there was no fencing erected at the rear of the site which is a very steep slope directly to the busy street below requiring total supervision of the dogs whilst outside.
The instructional wording of your terms for dogs in the property we found somewhat archaic as I feel many owners do act quite responsibly in the training and control of their pets. I do feel that we should have been informed prior to any acceptance of the booking of changes that appeared quite casual but somewhat more stringent at arrival.
We do allow our dogs to sit and sleep on a two-seater setee that has a blanket for keeping them cosy and I would suggest that smaller breeds be allowed to sit and or sleep on the seating areas. Your provision of a wrap and towel for the animals is certainly a splendid idea. I do agree with them being prevented from using the bedrooms though.
The general overall property condition is very clean with an excellent selection of crockery, cutlery, pots and pans, and cleaning materials, well done!
The ‘Hoover’ provided should be condemned! The buttons controlling the cable retraction and the on/off operation are broken off and although I did manage to get it operational it does mean risking access to the inner workings and possible electrocution. When the ‘Hoover’ did switch on it was not too enthusiastic as the filter unit had not been cleaned and was completely clogged and needs replacing. Net curtaining throughout generally perished and fragile
What a beautiful caravan, in a wonderful location . The little touches by Zoe were much appreciated. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family and hope to return as there is so much to see in that area x
We had a lovely stay in apple pippin, the caravan was very clean and check in was made very simple.
The caravan had all the essentials you need to make your stay just perfect from extra blankets during the colder months, tea towels, bed linen, tea and coffee.
Thank you for little touches that made our stay extra special.
Due to attending an event on the Devon and Cornwall border I needed somewhere to stay and stumbled across Apple Pippin - what a lucky find this was.
Clean, comfortable and packed with homely features with a rare to find personal touch to the site and the accomodation itself which is set in a stunning area of Devon.
I couldn't be more pleased with my stay, please don't change a thing! I look forward to staying again on future visits to the area.
Kind Regards
Tony Curd
Lovely, comfy and well presented caravan. Clean with good facilities. Very lovely touch that we arrived to a welcome sign with the family name on, a card, good quality tea, coffee and biscuits, as well as as olive oil and salt and pepper. We would definitely come back. Thank you.
Lovely quiet friendly site. Caravan spotless with great friendly touches throughout. Also a nice garden area and lots of local walks and pubs. Great location
We had an amazing stay at Apple Pippin. It was well equipped with essential items. Clean, tidy and welcoming on arrival.
We visited Westward Ho! The beautiful Instow and Appledore, the stunning Hartlands Quay, Clovelly and the glorious Bude beach. We also had delicious meals in The local Anchor Inn pub.
We would opt for a bigger caravan next time though a little tight for us!
Thank you Zoe for making our stay a comfortable one.

Have stayed before and will stay again as they are the best equipped caravans and always so clean. Just a perfect base to visit North Devon. Thank you.
Excellent service from start to finish.Everything was communicated well. When we arrived we checked straight in and had a lovely welcome. The accommodation was clean and really well stocked with everything you could need.
We had a wonderful 4 nights staying in this homely caravan. It was really thoughtfully equipped and in a great location for exploring a beautiful area. There were 3 local pubs doing great food (we especially liked The Anchor) and there were lots of places to walk and visit nearby eg Bude and Clovelly, and Hartland Abbey had a beautiful walk down to the coast. The campsite is small and peaceful but only a couple of minutes walk into the village.
