Thanks so much for a wonderful stay! I’d love to come back for longer to explore the local areas that we didn’t get to. The property was perfect and we felt right at home. Fantastic experience all around!
Beautiful home, in a quiet village. Perfect for us as walkers, so close to the South West Coastal walk. Loved everything about our stay. The Kings Arms opposite had the most welcoming publican. Highly recommend Hartland!

A really modern cottage with everything you need
Had a lovely stay at this recently refurbished modern cottage. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Right in the heart of the village with a pub right across the road. Good food in the village or if you don't mind a short drive the Hartland Quay Hotel has great food with amazing views.

Truly a home from home
A well appointed and very clean property with the added bonus of parking right outside the front door. Located in a lovely village setting with amazing scenery, Hartland Quay, just a stones throw away. We loved the style, layout, space and facilities on offer. Everything we needed was available in the kitchen and the welcome gift of bread, milk, eggs and butter very welcome after a day of travelling. We would stay here again and would recommend this property to family & friends.

We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable house
We had some problems with the shower and hot water supply. The water temperature varied when other members of our party had a shower. Apart from this, we had a fantastic time and enjoyed the coastal walks.

Thanks for advising us of your issues with the shower which we will be sure to address. I'm so pleased that you enjoyed your holiday otherwise and that you found our cottage so comfortable.
Our time staying at this property was excellent. We had read the promotional material on this site and we expected some shortfall against it. But, to the contrary it exceeded the expectations. It has a bright interior and was clean and well fitted out. The communication with the owners was excellent and questions were dealt with instantly.. We would unreservedly recommend this property.

83 the square Hartland
We had a lovely holiday in this cottage. It was tastefully furnished to a high spec and very clean and comfortable. An ideal situation to explore the north devon coast and the south west coastal path. Everything we needed was there and we really appreciated the bread milk and other goodies thst were there when we arrived after a long drive. Megan was a happy friendly person and was always nearby to help if we needed to know anything. 3 pubs in the village. No need to cook if you dont want to.

We have just returned from what was a wonderful weeks stay at this cottage. The communication with the owner was excellent from the start and we were well informed prior to our arrival. The cottage was just like the pictures, it’s beautiful and felt so homely. The village itself is lovely and you have everything you need there. We found it a great place to get you to many places and some lovely walks round there too. This holiday was one we will never forget! Thank you!

Thank you for your lovely review - it was a pleasure to have you as our guests and we are delighted that you enjoyed your week at our cottage and found it so comfortable.
The property exceeded our expectations in terms of luxury and feeling like home from home. Everything was available to live, eat and sleep very comfortably. The village is well situated in the village of Hartland, just 3 miles off the A39 and within easy reach of all the towns and villages you would want to visit. Plenty of walks too. The village is quiet, but has 3 pubs/restaurants, a small Post Office and a general store. Big supermarkets at Bideford less than half an hour away. Good contact and support from Fiona the owner - an excellent property to which we hope to return!

Wow. What a lovely place to stay. Clean, bright, excellently equipped. Especially the kitchen. Everything you could need is provided. The beds were very comfortable, as were the pillows (bad back sufferer).
The location is perfect, close to the centre of Hartland. Pubs, shops and cafe all close to hand. Space for cars is a bonus.
We have been coming to this area for many decades and hope to return next year.
Thank you Fiona. Your place is lovely. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Thank you so much for your lovely review. We really appreciate your comments as we do try very hard to provide those little extras to make it feel like a home from home as we know how much we look for those comforts and conveniences when we stay away in other peoples' properties. We really hope you come back again and stay with us next year!
Wonderful stay at Hartford....many great walks from the door, but also many conveniences: 3 pubs (Sunday roast at The Hart was great and the beer garden of the King’s Arms has spectacular views and The Anchor is very historic). Also the Pop In is well stocked for any lady minute needs (even had creme fraiche!). The house was beautifully outfitted, well stocked and very comfortable.

Comfortable, spacious, well equipped and in first class condition.
The big picture - Comfortable, spacious, well equipped and in first class condition.
On the main street but still a quiet location. Parking right outside.
Nice to have a 'welcome pack' awaiting of bread butter milk.
Good courtesy direct contact with owner after booking.
Minor considerations:
- no functioning tin opener at time of visit [this reported to owner].
- lounge rather dark in evening - background wall lighting and one uplighter - would benefit from further uplighter
- rather odd controls to hot water - need to manually switch on hot water for each period of use.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and found the cottage so comfortable and well-equipped. We immediately replaced the can opener and appreciate your comments on the lighting. The boiler is a combination boiler so the hot water is set to a timer which can be over-ridden manually at any time or set to constant should you need longer periods of usage. Thanks once again and we hope to welcome you back to Hartland in the future.

A lovely holiday home in a village location
We had a most enjoyable week in this clean, comfortable and well equipped holiday cottage. The owners had gone to a lot of trouble to provide many home comforts, from the "welcome" provisions (milk, bread, eggs and butter), to kitchen sundries such as washing up liquid, foil etc, soap in the bathrooms and a good selection of books, DVD's, games, maps and tourist information. The property was very spacious with comfortable beds and plenty of storage space. The parking area to the front of the property was ample for 2 cars, including a large estate car.
The property was handy for village facilities, with the Kings Arms pub opposite the house and a PO store and general store nearby.
We went to Hartland to continue walking the SW Coast Path (a retirement project!). The coast was beautiful and varied and the area was surprisingly quiet, given that we were there during the May half term week.
Many thanks to Fiona for letting us share her lovely holiday home and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone looking to stay in this area.
