Then relax by the open fire or have a BBQ on the huge terrace. Spacious, cosy, bright & brimming with character: You've found the perfect home away from home for holidays and weekend breaks.
About the property
Built in the 1890s and being a family home, the house is a lovely old and warm space with its own personality, character and quirks. It is the ideal place to wind down and relax.
Five comfortable bedrooms accommodate families, groups or couples. The view from every room is stunning.
A huge terrace offers space for dining and lounging and the sprawling gardens with adjoining woods are perfect for exploring.
The view is beautiful, overlooking the valley. Visitors often find their sleep is unusually deep and refreshing, thanks to the calm at night and the complete absence of intrusive light.
Our home has a big kitchen with direct access to the huge terrace. The sitting room has sofas, armchairs and an open fireplace. The drawing room also has an open fireplace, as well as sofas, armchairs and a French window door opening out onto the terrace. There is even a billiards table in the hall.
Wildlife can be spotted from any of the bedrooms, as deer often graze on the grounds in the morning and a couple of buzzards circle the valley every day.
Our house is set in the foothills of Dartmoor National Park, half a mile from Lustleigh village center with its popular local Pub, The Cleave, the Primrose Cottage Tea Rooms and a local shop. The house is easily accessible by car, 30 minutes from Exeter and 15 minutes from the A38.
