Surrounded by peaceful farmland at the end of an orchard, this lovely home is a perfect romantic retreat.. 1 step to entrance.

In a tranquil setting at the end of a small orchard, this bijou home is perfect for couples looking for peace and quiet, with little luxuries to make a stay memorable.
The open plan living and kitchen area are bright and cosy, with a fabulous wood burner to add atmosphere and warmth on cooler days. Backing onto open fields, the property has gorgeous views towards the Angus Glens and a patio at the side where you can relax and enjoy the sounds of nature. To the front is a small apple orchard, which gives the property its name. As you arrive, you walk through the trees to the cottage, and you feel that you are truly away from it all. Yet the property is only a short drive from Edzell with several well-established venues serving food, and a selection of local shops. There is also a 9 and 18-hole golf course and a covered driving range. The nearest train station is 5 miles away at Laurencekirk, which also has a selection of good shops and a café. Ideal for exploring this beautiful and unspoilt region, the majestic and atmospheric Angus Glens offer excellent walks for all abilities through moorland and heather and include ten munros for those who like a challenge. Look out for eagles, buzzards, pine marten and deer on your days out in the wilds. The area is ideal for cycling, from the beginner to the most advanced.
By contrast the fantastic beaches at St Cyrus, Lunan Bay and Montrose offer miles of unspoilt coastal scenery with plenty of bird and marine life to look out for. If you fancy a bit of culture, there are plenty of examples throughout the region from Arbroath’s impressive medieval abbey and baronial country house to the Air Station Heritage Centre in Montrose and steam powered trains in Brechin, which are all are within an easy drive.
