About this property

Dorset Retreat close to the Jurassic Coast and Weymouth.

Located on a quiet road in the desirable village of Osmington, this property is perfectly located to discover the Jurassic Coast and all that Dorset has to offer. Just a short (15 minutes) walk to the nearest beach and a 10 minute drive to Weymouth.

The cottage has all the mod cons and luxurious touches, and the 3 bedrooms and flexible sleeping arrangement offers excellent family or friends orientated accommodation.

Osmington is a delightful village, close to the beach (1 mile) and the stunning coastal paths. Weymouth, Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove are all a short drive away (less than 6 miles as the crow flies).
Despite not having a big garden, there is a well equipped children’s play area and football pitch next to the village hall.
A short walk away is Craig’s Dairy and Farm Shop which is well stocked with supplies. The local pub, The Sunray, reopened in May 2026.
A small Co-op and two fish and chip shops are in nearby Preston.

Beautiful and spacious cottage, we really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the beds are very comfy. Nearby are plenty of beaches and places to visit, and there is a pub and farm shop within a short walk. Would highly recommend. There is no hot tub but we were not expecting this.

Great stay

Beautiful house , great size bedrooms and comfy beds and lots of seating areas, advertised hot tub but doesn’t have one which wasn’t an issue for us. Lovely location

There was confusion over the key codes for the front door and garage. We managed to access the lock box which contained the front door keys but couldn’t access garage lock box which was not a problem to us. The front right hand bedroom as you look out had blood on the wall and one of the towels. The kitchen was dusty and the bin broken and dirty but ok. Otherwise a lovely property. Beds were clean and comfy. Great location.
