About this property

Appartamento Guerrazzi by Wonderful Italy

Modern apartment with balcony overlooking the rooftops of Bologna.

The recently renovated apartment is located on the third floor of a building without elevator. The entrance opens onto the kitchen, finely furnished and complete with every convenience including a dishwasher, an oven and an espresso coffee machine. From here, a French window gives access to the balcony overlooking the city. An industrial-style door separates the kitchen from the living room, equipped with a double sofa bed and a TV. The sleeping area, located in a room with a maximum height of 1,40 meters (recommended for children only), is furnished with a queen-size bed and a walk-in closet in where the washing machine is also placed. A bathroom with shower completes the layout.

*The apartment is located in the ZTL (limited traffic zone) area, therefore we suggest leaving the car in one of the nearby parkings and enjoying the old town on foot.

*Upon arrival or a few days before arrival it may be required to pay a tourist tax, which varies according to local regulations. You will find your reservation details within the Guest Area of Wonderful Italy.

Bologna is a city of art, culture and trade. The capital of Emilia-Romagna is also known as “Dotta” (erudite), being the oldest university of the West, as “Grassa” (fat) for its gastronomic delights and “Rossa” (red) for the colors characterizing its old town. Its soul is in the medieval old town, one of the biggest in Europe, dotted in taverns, workshops and theaters, characterized by almost 40 km of porticoes. In the city center there is Piazza Maggiore, where the charm of medieval buildings is perfectly combined with modernity. Not to be missed are the Fountain of Neptune by Giambologna and the Medieval Towers, “Torre degli Asinelli” and “Torre della Garisenda”, part of a rich cultural heritage preserved in several museums, art galleries and religious buildings. It is allowed to leave Bologna only after having tried its gastronomic products, among which mortadella, tortellini, ragù alla bolognese while sipping famous DOC wines from the Bologna hills! Rich in exhibitions, fairs and cultural events, Bologna can surprise you in every season.

Around 2 km from the apartment there is the central train station while the airport is around 25 minutes away by car.

Wonderful time in Bologna

Overall the apartment was really nice. The kitchen and main living area were bright and open. Bedroom had a super low ceiling as did the closet area though the closet was very spacious. The kitchen could have used a few more amenities like a cutting board, extra dish towels, and garbage bags. Unfortunately, the balcony was not kept up well and all the plants were dried and dead. The drain on the balcony also didn’t work which flooded when it rained. We still enjoyed having the balcony and our morning coffee there.

apartment in Bologna

This is a small, light and colourful apartment in one of Bologna's quieter streets, where I enjoyed a week. The staff were helpful and the balcony and position are great. Like most old apartments, it's up flight flights of stairs and no lift, so be warned. The sharply pitched bedroom roof was also a headache, especially after I banged my head for the umpteenth time in the night. And after years of coming to this country, I still don't understand Italian light switches, so it took a while to grasp access to the hot water supply and washing machine.
