The apartment was lovely and well equipped. Modern kitchen and bath. Great balcony with nice view of the Shard. Neighborhood was quiet and nicely located about 20 minute easy walk to the Westminster Bridge, Big Ben and the London Eye. Would definitely stay again in the future.
Southwark station is a 5 minute walk away. The apartment is accurately described and the host promptly replies to inquiries. Thoroughly enjoyed and felt safe and secure at this property. An added bonus was a gorgeous view of the city line and “The Shard”. This place is a London gem.

Our StayOur stay at this property was disappointing. Upon arrival, we found substantial damage to the bathroom ceiling, including an unfinished repair with visible water staining and a ceiling panel that appeared to be separating. This condition was not disclosed before our arrival and raised legitimate concerns about the property’s maintenance. The most significant issue was the air conditioning. The listing advertised that the apartment was air-conditioned, which was an important factor in our decision. After we arrived, the host informed us not to set the thermostat too low because the system would never achieve the selected temperature. It was very warm; we set the thermostat to 21C, closed the curtains and left the apartment for approximately three hours. When we returned, the bedroom remained 25.5C. Even overnight, the rooms never reached a comfortable temperature. Additional concerns included bedroom light switches that worked only intermittently, a bedroom balcony door that had been secured shut, difficulty locating adequate cooking utensils, and a washer/dryer whose drying function did not perform as expected. We communicated these concerns promptly and respectfully during our stay. Rather than arranging to inspect the apartment while we were present, the responses consistently stated that everything had been tested before our arrival. Our purpose in submitting this review is not simply to complain, but to provide an accurate description of the property.

Good location, poor checkin & inadequate equipment
It took us over 90mins to get hold of the keys as we had been sent the incorrect booking in code. We tried to get help through contacting the site manager and Vrbo - this was a poor start to our stay. The kitchen was poorly equipped. No instructions on how the oven worked, no microwave, no coffee machine and a bin was the size of a box of Frosties! The fridge freezer was good. The dining chairs were in need of refurbishing and the TV was not a smart one. The bed was really uncomfortable and the bottom end panel was not attached. The bathroom was a good size and all worked. There seemed to be no extractor and the ceiling had a large patch of damp boarding screwed in place. The view of the Shard was stunning. Generally disappointed as most of this was easy to see and easily fixed.
