Christmas Break
Beautiful little hideaway in a charming village setting. Only negative comment is that the sofa is not very comfortable but a minor issue. Local pub, The Red Lion, were very welcoming and the food excellent. Carol singing on Christmas Eve was lovely. Christmas tree set up in the cottage was a thoughtful touch, as well as the wood burner set and ready to be fired up.
Would we visit again……yes definitely.

Disliked: Cleanliness
OK but not particularly clean
On initial approach this cottage looked lovely. When we got into the cottage it was quickly evident that it was not particularly clean and there was a strange smell!! The kitchen table had crumbs left from the previous occupant. There was a definite damp smell everywhere. We are both perfectly able-bodied but the stairs were almost impossible to climb unless on all fours!!! The lounge was dark and the lounge suite was badly stained and generally nasty!! The bedrooms were OK and the sheets were clean which was a bonus!! The provided towels were old, hard and generally horrid!!!
Outside the cottage was OK except for the constant barking from the dogs in the house at the entrance to the property. Every time anyone walked past the dogs barked incessantly. I took my friend here for a much needed break following the loss of my husband in May and the break was sullied by an accusation from the people in this property that I had damaged their vehicle. This was not the case and they were brutally rude to me including an accusation from their friend that I have been drinking whilst driving my car!!! You are required to park your car on the road outside the property despite there being plenty of space within the grounds!!! The people in the property adjacent to us complained that they had been woken at 8am to move their car.
If you are looking for a pleasant weekend away, please go to Norfolk as it is a wonderful place, but stay somewhere else!!!
