Was absolutely beautiful and couldn’t have wished for a more relaxing holiday . John the owner was helpful and welcoming nothing was too much trouble . The only comment would make the tv in lounge area to high and could do with being a bit bigger . Also sofa could do with being changed wasn’t the most comfortable .

The property was very comfortable and in a quiet location with a very nice gravel patio area leading to a fenced in grass field which was idea for our two dogs to explore..The hosts had provided way more than expected ie. Milk, bread ,tea, coffee, sugar and a welcome plate of choc biscuits. Being in a village the Wi.Fi was not very strong but is awaiting an upgrade.

What a beautiful property in an exceptionally beautiful area, absolutely idyllic. Will definitely recommend highly and will be booking again.
Although The Lodge is very small, it truly has everything you need. Its rural situation is very peaceful — we found it deeply relaxing to sit out in the garden in the evenings. There is plenty to explore locally: pretty towns and beautiful countryside. I have no hesitation in recommending this place. The only small downside for us here was that a lot of the local roads are single track, driving on which we do not enjoy!

Well located for peace and quiet.
Well located for peace and quiet. Loved the way our dogs were catered for, secure patio area leading onto a secure paddock. Even small dogs escape proof. The accommodation itself was set out rather oddly, tiny 'lounge' area, bedroom fine, but could do with bed being king size rather than a double. Too small for us but comfy, and we coped. Kitchen diner area quite large, and a huge utility room, which could have been the kitchen as well. Toilet and wet room off that were adequate, but the electric shower output was a bit lacking. If the kitchen was in the utility, that would enable a patio door straight out on to the patio, instead of having to take my dogs out through the front door, and around the side to a gate for them to access the patio. Only 1 door to the property, a bit odd. But, all in all, I would stay here again. Owner very nice, bottle of milk in fridge, some cheese, and tea, coffee etc in kitchen. Electric heating, so nice and warm. Internet and WiFi patchy, needs upgrading, but hey, out in the countryside, so expected. I enjoyed our stay. Handy to get to lots of places. Ruh hour was a tractor and 2 cars!!
