Excellent stay

stayed for 4 nights and the location is lovely set on the small pond. The dogs enjoyed sitting on the patio and watching all the birds. The property has everything you need for a self catering stay and plenty of towels are also provided. Highly recommended !!!

Lovely relaxing stay!

Great location and view across the lake. Plenty of options for dog walks too. Lodge had everything we needed, modern and clean. Minor downside being the beds/mattresses were a little hard for our liking. Lodge was only 5 mins walk from the Bay amenities. We tried the pub and the pizzeria - both good food and service. Kids and husband tried the pool which was busy but probably due to the smaller size. All in all a lovely, relaxing stay on a peaceful and clean complex.

A perfect peaceful getaway

A beautiful location with all the home comforts you need to have a peaceful and relaxing break. Our two dogs loved the walks around the meadows and we loved the views whilst having our morning cuppa. The Lodge is well maintained and very clean and when we arrived it was lovely and warm, so we settled in straight away. There was everything we needed in the Lodge and the shop was just a short walk away for anything else we required. The Bay is a lovely holiday resort with lots of facilities to use, unfortunately due to breaking my ankle prior to the holiday we didn't get to use any this time. It was the first time we had booked through Anchor Bay Holidays but I can recommend using them as their communications and information given was first class with prior to and during our break. Our main aim was to get peace and quiet during firework season due to our dogs being nervous of them, we certainly did get that and more!

Relaxing stay in great location

Every attention to meet holiday makers needs met. Good size accommodation with lovely view over lake. Only disappointment was that the previous occupants had left the oven dirty.

Well equipped and comfortable accommodation, ideal for two couples

Excellent communication and customer service from Anchor Bay Holidays from booking to departure. This was our fourth visit to The Bay but first time booking through ABH and we would definitely do so again. Low Lake Lodge is well equipped and was warm and comfortable. The layout with two en-suite bedrooms is ideal for two couples holidaying together. The lodge overlooks a lake with outdoor seating area from which you can enjoy stunning sunsets. Plenty of parking available and decent Wi-Fi.

Stayed at Low Lake Lodge for 3 nights. WOW !!!. What a place. Inside it is unbelievable. Spotless. 2 lovely size en suite bedrooms. The kitchen is very modern with everything you need. The lodge has a spacious balcony overlooking a small lake and gets the sun all day until it sets at night. The Lodge is just fantastic.

A lovely break at Low Lake Lodge

We had a lovely break at the lodge. Everything was just right and the furniture etc was all of a high quality. The lodge looked out onto the lake and the weather was kind to us so we were able to take advantage of enjoying the last of the summer rays on the decking. Our 2 dogs enjoyed the walks into Filey on the beach that we did each day. They have come home now for a rest! I would highly recommend and will definitely stay at The Bay again.

Peaceful retreat

The resort is amazing . The communal areas are immaculate and the site has everything you need for a family holiday . The lodge on the lake was much nicer than anticipated. Very comfortable, even in January . Perfect location for the dogs as the meadow was next door . The only downsides were the newly laid hardcore on the road which made it difficult to keep the floors clean in the lodge and in the cars and the glass cabinet in the lodge that my elderly dog kept walking into . A bit more cupboard space in the kitchen and living room would have been nice . We loved it and would not hesitate in booking again .

Beautiful outlook

Beautiful outlook towards the lake. In a perfect position to get the afternoon sun. Had a problem the first morning with one of the showers which was dealt with the same day. A little disappointed with the beach access. It was steeper than anticipated. The pub was incredibly busy but the staff were friendly and helpful.

Lodge on the Lake

Our lodge was beautiful. It looked into the lake which was really peaceful. Inside it was very clean and tidy with well made furniture and a welcome pack of tea and coffee, biscuits and provisions to wash up. Complete with dis washer and washing machine, the lodge had everything and more that we needed. Having previously always stayed at nearby well known resorts where we were used to an abundance of activities and options,The Bay is lovely if you enjoy walking, have dogs ( which we do) and want to explore surrounding areas but there is not lots on offer in terms of entertainment and activities. Nevertheless we had a great time!

Comfortable and well equipped lodge for two couples

Great communication from Anchor Bay Holidays from booking to departure. The lodge was cosy, comfortable and well equipped although had not been fully cleaned on arrival: the living area had not been vacuumed or dusted and cleaning materials were left out so we finished the job ourselves! The cordless cleaner doesn’t hold a charge so could do with replacing. There were dozens of flies in the lodge so we had to purchase fly spray and a swatter! The lodge has two double en-suite bedrooms so ideal for two couples. WiFi was good and TV signal OK but could be better. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t good enough to sit outside on the decking but there is a lovely outlook on a small lake with great sunsets. The lounge area has a sofa that seats three although one person has to sit on the central join between two seat cushions and the separate arm chair is very narrow so wouldn’t be comfortable for everyone. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful stay at The Bay

The accommodation, Low Lake lodge was perfectly positioned. It was overlooking the lake and the meadows. We had a very peaceful stay watching the ducks and the Herron. It was spotless with anything you could need, dishwasher, airfryer, washing machine. Lots of games and books to read. It was perfect! We'll definitely be back.

Relaxing place

We had a lovely stay and very peaceful. The view over the lake and surrounding fields were beautiful. The lodge had everything we needed had trouble with tin opener but we bought a new one . Our two dogs had plenty of places to walk maybe a couple more dog dog bins around the fields would be better. The site was very clean and maintained would definetly return.

November break in Low Lake Lodge

The lodge was in an ideal position and it was a pleasure waking up to the ducks and geese. It was a short walk to the beach which was fantastic. Not too busy at this time of year but our dog made lots of new friends. I used the pool, sauna and steam room which were well maintained and everyone was very friendly. Hubby also made use of the gym which he enjoyed. The lodge was well equipped. It needs a little bit of touching up on the skirting board and the dog sniffed out some food under the sofa but nothing major. It's in a good spot for other coastal destinations (we went to see Scarborough lights) if you can tear yourself away.

Amazing Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Low lake Lodge. The lodge has everything you would ever need and is like a home from home. We didn’t use all of the facilities available at The Bay, but we did eat at the John Jones on two nights and the food was good and decently priced. The communication from Anthony from booking through to the stay was really helpful and informative. Thanks for a great stay. We look forward to visiting again soon.

Long weekend in Filey

First time visit to Filey. Excellent service and communication from the letting/management company. The lodge we stayed in was in a great location overlooking the lake. The view from the veranda was beautiful. The owners had provided comfortable outside seating, cushions and throws. Inside the lodge is clean, tidy and nicely furnished. The bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms were ideal for the three of us. The bedroom space is limited, although there is everything needed. ( came home with a massive bruise after catching my leg on the bedframe which is very solid wood). The kitchen is well equipped, the lounge comfortable although would be quite snug for four adults. Overall a lovely holiday.

Short stay with dogs

Accommodation was nice but the toilets and showers could do with bleaching. The toilet was stained. We didn’t realise we needed to take washing up stuff either so had to buy some.

Relaxing chilling great view of the lake and beautiful beach a stroll away

This is my mum and my little dog Arthur’s 3rd visit with Anchor Bay - once in one of the cottages with the beautiful glass balcony’s - but now my Favorite Low lake lodge - the view of the lake is an added bonus The lodge has everything you would expect and more - a proper home from home - where else could you get a coffee maker included and an Air fryer (better than mine!). It is such a chilling place to stay Always clean and the beds are so comfortable Bay village itself literally like a well kept village - Anthony and his team are so friendly and helpful with advice. Looking forward to booking again in a few months Beach is beautiful - you would think you were in Devon not Yorkshire and we usually get good weather even though we have only been out of season - beach is huge and extremely clean Arthur loves it Only downside is we always miss the lovely cafe at the end of the beach - we are getting closer to going as we only missed opening date by 2 days. The views are fantastic Can’t wait for my next visit it is like a home from home and I feel chilled as soon as I am unpacked
